Pharmacy1st Health is building the clinical infrastructure for rural America by transforming independent pharmacies into integrated care delivery hubs. Our model combines primary care, pharmacy services, and chronic disease management under one roof, creating a new, lower-cost site of care for underserved communities.

We operate across multiple states and are rapidly expanding a network of rural clinics co-located with pharmacies. Our goal is to deliver scalable, high-quality care while improving access, outcomes, and cost efficiency.

Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will help Pharmacy1st turn operating, clinical, pharmacy, and financial data into actionable insights.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with messy data from multiple systems. You will build dashboards, analyse performance trends, and help leadership understand what is happening across our pharmacies, clinics, and growth initiatives.

You will work closely with finance, operations, clinical leadership, and the CEO’s office to ensure the company has accurate, timely, and useful reporting to support decision-making.

This is not a passive reporting role. You will be expected to identify trends, surface issues, and help the team take action.

Key Responsibilities

Business Intelligence and Reporting

• Build and maintain dashboards for company, site, and service line performance
• Create recurring reports for leadership, operations, finance, and clinical teams
• Translate raw data into clear insights, trends, and recommendations
• Ensure reports are accurate, consistent, and easy for non-technical users to understand

Pharmacy and Clinic Performance Analytics

• Analyse performance across pharmacy and clinic locations, including:
• Revenue
• Gross profit
• Script volume
• Payer mix
• Drug mix
• Clinic visits
• Provider utilization
• Patient retention

• Identify drivers of site-level performance and flag underperforming locations
• Support analysis of new initiatives such as immunisations, LTC@Home, med sync, chronic care management, and loyalty programs

Data Infrastructure and Quality

• Help organise data from multiple systems, including pharmacy dispensing systems, accounting systems, clinic systems, and spreadsheets
• Develop consistent definitions for key metrics across the company
• Identify data quality issues and work with teams to fix them
• Build repeatable reporting processes that reduce manual work

Operational and Financial Analysis

• Support finance and operations teams with ad hoc analysis
• Help track run rate revenue, contribution margin, cash flow, and location-level profitability
• Analyse trends across locations to identify opportunities for growth or operational improvement
• Support acquisition integration by helping onboard new sites into reporting systems

Dashboard Development

• Build dashboards and reporting tools that allow teams to monitor performance in real time
• Create views for executive leadership, site operators, finance, and clinical teams
• Ensure dashboards focus on actionable metrics, not just data availability
• Continuously improve reporting based on user feedback

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with operations to understand site-level workflows and reporting needs
• Partner with finance to ensure consistency between operational data and financial reporting
• Support clinical leaders in tracking quality, patient experience, and service line performance
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

• 2 to 5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, data analysis, consulting, finance, or operations analytics
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Experience building dashboards in tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or similar platforms
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Ability to clean, structure, and analyse messy data
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to translate data into clear business insights
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Preferred

• Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, retail, or multi-site operations
• Familiarity with pharmacy, clinic, claims, or EHR data
• Experience working with accounting or financial data
• Experience with Python, dbt, or data warehousing tools is a plus
• Experience supporting operators, not just producing reports
• Interest in rural healthcare and building scalable operating systems
