Job Title:

BXMA- Institutional Client Solutions (ICS), Associate

Job Description:

We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented, and passionate person to join our Institutional Client Solutions team. The Associate will support Institutional Client Solutions for the BXMA business with a primary focus on the clients in our Total Portfolio Management business (“TPM”). BXMA’s TPM business manages total portfolios on behalf of select clients (families and institutions). The portfolios are customized to client-specific objectives and aimed to outperform traditional portfolios by embracing a long-term time horizon, flexible asset allocation, and robust portfolio construction. The Associate will have significant interface with senior members of the TPM team and other groups within the firm and will be part of the front-line team interfacing with our TPM clients. Furthermore, the associate will:

             

  • Coordinate responses to client inquiries and prep for performance update calls
  • Oversee ongoing client contact to make sure regular touchpoints are happening and relationships stay strong
  • Work closely with our Product Management team to create high quality materials to update clients on their experience with BXMA and refresh these materials periodically
  • Serve as the secondary on strategic accounts on day 1 and attend client meetings alongside Global Head of Total Portfolio Management
  • Contribute to a growing business line within BXMA by working across functional areas to establish and drive execution on client related initiatives
  • Support late-stage prospect activity, including materials, meeting prep and management, and tracking
  • Serve as an ICS liaison to the broader TPM team serving as the point person to distribute key updates and content to the global ICS team
  • Produce best-in-class content with a focus on both thought leadership and driving commercial outcomes for specific products and client situations
  • Assess client risk and determine appropriate next steps to ensure best-in-class client engagement
  • Complete due diligence requests, create investor profiles and related prep materials
  • Help improve internal processes and the overall client experience through project management and strategic support

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. Prior internship or work experience at a financial services firm is preferred. The successful candidate should have 3+ years of prior work experience and must have an undergraduate degree and a strong academic track record. Prior experience working with clients directly or working on client related presentations is a strong preference.

In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should (have):

  • Strong communication skills
  • Effective writing skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Be a collaborative team player and also work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good judgment
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment

Expected annual base salary range:

$145,000 - $160,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
