A critical responsibility of this role will be to ensure the strategic vision of the organization is developed and executed with a clear understanding of risks, trade-offs, and opportunities, while proactively managing emerging risks across the organization.

  • Maintain and enhance the framework for risk quantification and consistent assessment across the enterprise
  • Develop and deliver risk reporting, dashboards, and heat maps for senior management, the Board, and key stakeholders
  • Monitor risk exposures and emerging risk signals, providing guidance to leadership on thresholds, actions, and trade-offs
  • Partner with leadership to review and improve policies, governance processes, and best practices
  • Act as an independent review function to ensure risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and addressed through effective control testing and risk assessment
  • Partner with internal assurance functions to ensure coordinated and comprehensive coverage of key risks

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • At least 15 years of business or risk experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in risk management
  • Prior experience in a digital, direct-to-consumer organization that leverages technology and data to deliver products and services at scale and enhance customer experience
  • Proven leadership and people management skills in a matrixed environment
  • Strong communication skills to build and maintain relationships, with the ability to challenge business leaders and translate risk insights into clear, actionable decisions
  • Ability to work effectively in an environment with a high degree of subjectivity, change, and ambiguity
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset, including the ability to connect risk management to business outcomes

  • Experience with enterprise risk management and risk frameworks
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements

Nice to have

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in a business-related discipline
  • Risk management experience in healthcare, long-term care, or technology-enabled service environments
  • Experience supporting new or evolving business models and platforms
  • Skilled networker who builds relationships and identifies opportunities to improve business outcomes
