The role of the Change Manager is to proactively support the business to prepare for, deliver and adopt a wide variety of change activity and initiatives, with a focus on the human behavior and the people impact of change. 

The role provides an important bridge across multiple business areas, acting as a partner to the business to help them better understand the broader change landscape. This includes the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans that maximise business buy-in and employee adoption, minimising resistance to achieve sustained outcomes.

Change Manager - Organizational Design and People Change

We will count on you to:

  • Partner with business leaders as a Change subject matter expert and trusted advisor.

  • Lead and run change projects, partnering with Business Leaders, Program and Project managers, integrating change management activities into the overall business / program objectives and delivery plans.

  • Understands the impact of changes; identify & manage change risks & issues and anticipate points of resistance. Mitigate or address the concerns, escalating issues in a timely manner.

  • Ability to develop specific change strategies / plans, based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.

  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.

  • Oversee development of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, stakeholder analysis, communications and training plans.

  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress with a particular focus on adoption.

  • Influence business leaders and key stakeholders, to help them think about change from a people focused prospective, and how they can embed effective change management approaches into their own strategies, objectives, plans and deliverables.

  • Work with business stakeholders, change champions/agents to prepare affected business areas and colleagues for transition to new ways of working, including developing, leading and delivering coaching sessions and workshops as required.

What you need to have:

  • At least 2-4 years change management experience within a large complex organization, including experience of working with and across multiple functions and business areas.

  • A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.

  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

  • Flexible and adaptable.

  • Strong people, relationship, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal (individuals and groups)

  • Familiarity with project / program management approaches, processes and lifecycles. 

  • Comfortable with providing advice and constructive challenge to Stakeholders / Project Teams.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,700 to $195,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
