The Channel Alliances Director role offers a unique opportunity to shape and scale strategic partnerships that enhance brand performance, drive commercial excellence, and strengthen Pfizer's position as a trusted leader in science and innovation. This role is critical in aligning partnership strategy with brand objectives, optimizing go-to-market models, and unlocking new value channels to support Pfizer's ambition of being the most impactful and trusted name in healthcare marketing.
This is a role within the Customers and Channels Group (CCG) within Commercial, supporting the US Primary Care brands and reporting into the Sr. Director, Primary Care Partnerships Lead, where responsibilities include forging, negotiating, and managing partnerships across channel stakeholders and generating insights for brand partners. A core focus of the role is enabling priority Commercial US Primary Care areas - including Obesity/GLP-1, Direct-to-Consumer / Direct-to-Patient (DTC/DTP) models such as PfizerForAll, TrumpRx, and Cash Pay, and other priority Primary Care brands - through channel and partnership strategies that expand patient access and commercial reach.
The ideal candidate should have experience in partnerships, is a strategic thinker and self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments, demonstrates strong project management capabilities, and can effectively translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable plans. This individual should also be skilled at influencing and collaborating across cross-functional teams and external partners and is comfortable engaging with senior leadership to align on goals, navigate ambiguity, and drive successful execution of joint initiatives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the single point of contact to manage the long-term relationship with established partners/customers to drive success and scale and ensure partnership success
  • Qualify and manage relationships with new partners interested in working with Pfizer from the health technology space, bringing those partnership to execution and scale.
  • Partner with team to engage strategically and collaboratively within a matrix organization of internal stakeholders.
  • Own assigned partnerships end-to-end - leading the structuring, negotiation, and contracting of agreements in close partnership with Legal and other key stakeholders (e.g., Finance, Compliance, and Business Units).
  • Support priority Commercial US Primary Care areas by helping to source and manage partnerships across the portfolio, with a focus on Obesity and the broader cardiometabolic / GLP-1 ecosystem, in close coordination with the Strategic Partnerships & Alliance Management team.
  • Build and operationalize Direct-to-Consumer / Direct-to-Patient (DTC/DTP) partnerships - including PfizerForAll, TrumpRx, Cash Pay, and other patient access models such as online pharmacies and telehealth - that expand reach and access for priority Primary Care brands.
  • Apply alliance management discipline - governance, KPI tracking, and structured performance reviews - consistent with the frameworks and standards set across the Partnerships team.
  • Develop channel-specific strategies that articulate Pfizer's value proposition and approach to engagement and partnership for each channel, informed by qualitative and quantitative insights.
  • Identify, develop, and close partnerships that drive mutual value creation for Pfizer and its partners.
  • Cultivate and foster strong relationships with high-potential innovation partners, surfacing opportunities where greater value can be created together than either party could achieve alone.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and manage the channel sales pipeline.
  • Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding progress on channel partnerships
  • Ability to drive strategic technology discussions at multiple levels with partners and customers
  • Ensure partner representation at relevant internal forums and appropriate external events e.g. user groups, trade shows etc. Attend digital health, health tech, and other conferences to Identify, develop and expand relationships with channel partners
  • Collaborate with internal groups including Chief Marketing Office, Digital, Brands teams, and others to drive success
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, especially with other departments to ensure partner satisfaction
  • Develop research and reports on industry trends, funding, and initiatives in relevant health tech verticals
  • Conduct regular external sweeps (e.g., for partnership opportunities) to determine innovation ideas in line with the innovation strategy
  • Partner closely with partners in Digital to incorporate insights from startups that might influence the strategy

Required role qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required with 8+ years of experience in biopharma, healthcare, digital health, or a related ecosystem
  • Proven marketing experience with a track record of leading strategic initiatives and driving brand growth in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Proven track record of scaling new business models within the innovation healthcare ecosystem and of managing complex projects and delivering against revenue goals
  • Experience with digital health partners and ecosystem-based partnerships
  • Ability to build close relationships with ecosystem leaders that drive innovative partnership opportunities.
  • Measured success in partnership development or corporate development roles that involve structuring and negotiating innovative partnerships that have led to revenue growth and impact
  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions, geographies, and companies (e.g., with external partners) to drive forward innovation
  • Peer and thought partner to a vast network of innovation leaders
  • Strategic thinking - ability to translate top level goals into actionable strategy and business cases.
  • Collaboration and Partnership skills with high emotional intelligence in a highly matrixed environment
  • Executive Presence in working with senior leadership on highly visible partnerships.
  • Highly skilled at written and oral communications and excellent customer relationship management skills

Desired but not required qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD or MPH)
  • Experience working with pharma brand teams on needs analysis and innovation scouting
  • Ability to build close relationships with ecosystem leaders to solicit innovation needs and partner with different areas of the organization to jointly build innovation business cases / value at stake

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,900.00 to $271,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
