The Chief of Staff is a high‑visibility, high‑impact strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for driving execution, operational excellence, and strategic alignment across the organization. This individual supports executive decision‑making, leads cross‑functional initiatives, and serves as an extension of the CEO in both internal and client‑facing environments.
This role requires exceptional intellectual horsepower, executive presence, and the ability to influence at all levels. The Chief of Staff anticipates challenges before they arise, brings structure and clarity to complex strategic problems, and ensures the CEO’s vision is translated into action across the enterprise. Frequent travel (~50%) is required to participate in executive meetings, client engagements, and accompany the CEO for conferences, speaking opportunities, and key external events.
Executive Partnership & Strategic Impact
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO, participating in high‑level meetings, preparing insights, and offering alternative perspectives to guide decision‑making.
- Act as an extension of the CEO—representing them in meetings, managing communications, and ensuring seamless alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
- Structure, operationalize, and drive execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring milestones, owners, and outcomes are clear and achieved.
Operational Leadership
- Build and run the daily operations of the Office of the CEO to maximize efficiency, prioritization, and organizational alignment.
- Lead the planning, cadence, and execution of executive leadership meetings and offsites, including development of CEO-level presentations and company-wide messaging.
- Partner closely with the CEO’s Executive Assistant to triage, prioritize, and manage the CEO’s time based on strategic importance and organizational needs.
Cross Functional‑ Influence & Project Management
- Lead complex, cross-functional projects that require coordination across multiple stakeholders and business units.
- Identify and remove organizational blockers; proactively address risks, gaps, or challenges that may impede progress on key objectives.
- Promote alignment, communication, and collaboration across teams to ensure execution and shared accountability.
External Engagement & Relationship Management
- Attend client meetings, executive engagements, and major events alongside the CEO, requiring significant travel (~50%).
- Build and manage relationships with key clients, partners, investors, and strategic external stakeholders.
- Develop structured processes to track, nurture, and deepen these high‑value relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or IT and MBA required.
- Qualified applicants must reside in New York Metropolitan area.
- 10+ years’ experience and experience at a top-tier consulting firm.
- Proficient in leveraging AI technologies to drive innovation, support strategic initiatives, and drive data-driven decision making.
- Possesses a strong understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic problem‑solving, executive communication, and cross‑functional project leadership.
- Outstanding professional presence, emotional intelligence, and sound business judgment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and high expectations.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000.
