Job Objective: We are seeking a highly organized Client Associate to support a portfolio manager and client team with account administration and client service. The ideal candidate has strong follow up and communication skills, is comfortable working on a high performing team, and is professional and personable with clients and coworkers.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•       Assist portfolio manager with client support, including cash and securities transfers, account information, and website access

•       Communicate with team and, as necessary, others in the firm on an ongoing basis concerning all client related matters

•       Organize client files and preserve client related information and activity

•       Interface with client custodians, accountants, and attorneys on an ongoing basis

•       Maintain client information on internal systems such as APX, Outlook, and Excel

•       Work closely with custodians and internal operations to ensure accuracy of security set up, cost basis, holdings, and other account information

•       Prepare new account paperwork, advisory and custodial, for client signature and facilitate account opening and funding

•       Review accounts monthly or quarterly, as needed, for adequate cash balances to cover fees, tax payments and income distributions, including Capital Calls and Private Equity distributions

•       Maintain and review fund activity including investor and underlying manager activity, transfers, redemptions, and subscriptions, as well as accurate NAV reporting and reconciliation

•       Assist in the preparation of client meeting material

•       Meet and greet visiting clients, providing refreshments, as needed

•       Assist clients with miscellaneous needs, including bill pay services, payroll, tax payments, and monitoring of cash balances as necessary

 

Job Requirements

•       Bachelor’s Degree or significant industry experience

•       Experience with a financial advisory firm a plus

•       Strong organizational skills with good follow up and communication skills

•       Software experience, including MS Office, Word and Excel

•       Ability to multitask effectively in a high performing team environment

•       Eager to learn, with a strong work ethic

•       Professional and personable in relating to clients and coworkers

 

The expected base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000, and the role is eligible for a discretionary bonus. This range reflects the good faith range Silvercrest expects to pay at the time of posting, in accordance with New York City and New York State pay transparency laws.

 

The actual base compensation offered will be determined by various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant years of experience, qualifications, educational background, and role specific skills. Base salary represents one element of Silvercrest’s comprehensive compensation package, which also includes robust benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
