MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the actions, job performances, guidance and direct supervision of the Resident Assistants, Peer Specialists and House Monitors. He/She promotes an atmosphere that encourages individualized services and resident involvement in community activities. He/she ensures the efficient scheduling and running of groups, as well as all other supportive services and documentation provided by the clinical staff. The Coordinator works hands on with the clinical staff in providing daily guidance to the clinical team. This position also provides direct clinical services.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures and clinical support services.
  2. Provide case management services to all AOT residents.
  3. Provide crisis intervention services.
  4. Facilitate Family Outreach Program.
  5. Assist Program Director in monitoring Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, and Incident Review activities.
  6. Ensure that staff maintains accurate and confidential records that comply with external monitoring agency standards and internal policy and procedures.
  7. Ensure completion of all scheduled House Monitor security runs.
  8. Guide staff in protocols for supervising visits from family and friends.
  9. Orient and train new clinical staff.
  10. Prepare all proposals and reports as needed.
  11. Conduct regular clinical and administrative meetings with staff.
  12. Ensure supervision for staff as per Odyssey House internal policies.
  13. Prepare written six-month evaluations on staff under his/her supervision.
  14. Meet bi-weekly for supervision with Program Director.
  15. Other relevant duties as assigned by Program Director.

REQUIREMENTS:  EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Bachelor's Level Clinical Degree and three (3) years of experience working in a clinical, mental health, housing or chemical dependency setting preferred.
  2. One (1) year experience of supervision experience preferred.
  3. Candidate should be in pursuit of a professional credential that will ensure their status as a QMHP.
  4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  5. This position will require availability as needed including on call responsibilities.
