Overview
Job Title: Cloud Partner Manager, Japan & Asia
Location:
  • Japan

About Us:
Atlassian is at the forefront of enabling teams to work more efficiently and effectively through our Cloud-based System of Work (ASoW). In the APAC region, our mission is to drive the adoption of this system through a network of highly skilled partners that excel in both sales and professional services.
Role Overview:
As the Cloud Partner Manager (CPM) in the Asia Channel team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding, coaching, and training partners to help their customers successfully adopt Atlassian's System of Work (ASoW). ASoW adoption is not a single transaction but a multi-phased journey that evolves alongside the customer's business.
In this role, you will ensure that partners are technically equipped to consultatively guide customers through each phase of this journey, tailoring the Atlassian System of Work to address the unique needs of each business.
This role places a strong emphasis on cloud migration from our Data Center products to our Cloud products as the foundational step and supports the rollout of multiple solution areas such as:
  • World-Class Software Development
  • High-Velocity Service Management
  • Teamwork Foundations
  • Enterprise Strategy & Planning

Success in these areas relies on:
  • The ability to uncover customer business value by aligning their business and technical requirements with ASoW solutions.
  • A deep technical understanding of Atlassian's platform, along with the ability to assess and understand a customer's existing technical architecture and requirements

Why You'll Love Working With Us:
At Atlassian, we foster an open, collaborative, and innovative environment. As a Cloud Partner Manager, you will play a critical role in empowering our partners to succeed, ensuring they have the technical expertise to deliver transformative solutions using Atlassian's Cloud-based System of Work to customers across the APAC region.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Guide Multi-phased ASoW Adoption:
Train and support partners as they guide their customers through the multi-phased journey of adopting Atlassian's Cloud-based System of Work (ASoW). Each phase aligns with the customer's evolving business needs, and your role will focus on ensuring that partners are technically equipped and able to facilitate this ongoing journey with a consultative approach.
  2. Extend the Teamwork Foundation:
Help partners support their customers in standardizing goals, work, and knowledge across entire organizations using Atlassian's platform. This requires engaging non-technical departments, consolidating tools, and securing buy-in from executives and decision-makers with transformational authority.
  3. Coach Partners to Implement Best-Fit Solutions:
Collaborate with partners to ensure they have the expertise to tailor Atlassian's solutions to the unique needs of different teams, such as IT, Development, Line of Business, and Executive Leadership within their customers' organizations. Your role will focus on equipping partners with the technical expertise and consultative skills necessary for effective discovery, relationship building, and cross-team alignment to drive successful outcomes.
  4. Enable Partner Cloud Migrations:
Empower partners to take the lead on cloud migration projects as the first step towards adopting the Atlassian System of Work. You will ensure that partners have the technical know-how and resources to independently guide their customers through this transition.
  5. New Program Enablement:
Collaborate with partners on the technical aspects needed to successfully launch and deliver new partner programs and sales plays. Since these programs require more than just a business approach-partners need to have a strong technical foundation in Atlassian's platform to succeed, and your role will be critical in guiding them through this process.
  6. Partner Transformation & Competency Building:
Lead efforts to enhance partner competency in presenting Atlassian's System of Work (ASoW). By owning and executing Partner Mastery Enablement and Assessment initiatives, such as the Blackbelt program, you will ensure that partners are technically equipped and confidently capable of independently engaging with customers and promoting Atlassian's solutions.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in technical partner management or a similar role in the software/cloud services industry.
  • Expertise in cloud technologies and migrations, with a deep understanding of service models such as SaaS/MSP.
  • Strong familiarity with Atlassian's Cloud-based System of Work (ASoW) and its business impact.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to train and guide partners on technical topics.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across the APAC region in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional proficiency in Japanese, with working proficiency in English or Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with partner networks in the APAC region, with a focus on channel development.
  • Technical certifications related to Atlassian's cloud solutions or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Experience developing and delivering technical enablement or training programs to upskill partners.
