About this opportunity:
We are looking for a motivated and technically advanced Co-op student to develop agentic AI application for test and verification aspect of Ericsson's 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) software product development. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Test management and OTA team in Ottawa.
What you will do:
- Use state of art agent building tools to build and integrate AI agent for test management aspect in Ericsson 5G application
- Implement MCP servers and clients to enable tool-calling, data access, and agent interoperability
- Integrate and consume LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) with appropriate prompt design, grounding, and guardrails
- Trouble shoot and document issues encountered during testing.
- Improve test effectiveness to meet ever evolving verification needs.
The skills you bring:
- Proven experience in DevOps/MLOps, with specialization in GenAI/LLM workloads
- Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS)
- Skilled in containerization & orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG patterns, vector DBs
- Strong scripting and automation background (Python, Bash, SQL)
Nice to Have:
- Hands-on deployment of open-source LLMs in production (Mistral, LLaMA, Phi, Qwen)
- Knowledge of governance & compliance frameworks for AI/LLM in regulated industries
- Knowledge of Communication theory, Wireless standards (4G/5G 3GPP), Radio architecture, and Interfaces is a plus
Eligibility requirements:
- 2.7+ GPA or equivalent , Uploading an unofficial copy of your transcript
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the co-op
- Be available to work 40 hours per week
