Careerflow Human Data Labs partners with AI companies to bring real-world professional expertise into their products. We are hiring experienced in-house commercial attorneys to review and redline contracts for a legal AI platform, to help train the next generation of AI models.

Your job is simple to describe and hard to fake: review contracts exactly the way you did in your Fortune 2000 in-house role. You will redline documents using track changes on the client's in-house platform (similar to Google Docs suggesting mode), accept or reject terms, and write detailed comments explaining your reasoning. The client's goal is to capture the judgment of risk-averse, large-enterprise counsel: what you would push back on, what you would escalate, and what would be an outright no-go.

This is not legal advice or client work. There is no attorney-client relationship, no malpractice exposure, and no court deadlines. It is expert evaluation work, on your own schedule.

What you will do:
  • Review commercial contracts on the client's platform (2 hours/day on average)

  • Redline with track changes, following a defined review format

  • Accept, reject, or comment on terms as you would have in-house

  • Write out your reasoning clearly and in detail: not just what you'd change, but why, and how hard you'd push

  • Calibrate your reviews against a golden reference and participate in a shared Slack channel with the project team

Requirements (all must apply)
  • J.D. and experience practicing as a commercial attorney in-house at a Fortune 2000 company (current or former)

  • 2+ years of commercial contracting experience (2-4 years is a fit; more is welcome)

  • Based in the United States

  • Strong written communication: your comments and reasoning are the product

  • Reliable availability for 10 hours/week

Note: law-firm-only backgrounds do not qualify for this role. The client specifically needs the in-house, large-enterprise perspective.

Process

The entire process is intended to be quick and simple, taking less than an hour or two of your time, with quick results.

  • You will need to go through an AI-driven interview (10-15 minutes) explaining your general background

  • You will need to perform a small assessment that mimics the actual work (~30 minutes)

  • Final review by in-house team

Start date: Immediate
