The Commercial Strategy and Operations Manager will lead key components of the Commercial Strategy and Operations function, serving as a strategic partner to Commercial leaders. This role will independently translate business priorities into actionable plans, strengthen operating processes, and deliver data-driven insights that improve decision-making and advance Commercial goals. This is an individual contributor role with significant functional ownership and cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities
  • Own core Commercial Strategy and Operations processes, including operational reporting, OKR performance management, forecasting, and planning.

  • Translate Commercial goals into well-defined projects, priorities, and operating plans, creating focus and accountability across stakeholders.

  • Independently lead complex cross-functional initiatives from scoping through implementation, proactively managing risks, dependencies, decisions, and communication.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to Commercial leaders by translating complex or ambiguous data into clear insights, business implications, and actionable recommendations.

  • Develop executive- and Board-level materials that communicate performance, emerging risks and opportunities, and recommended actions.

  • Identify and implement scalable improvements to Commercial processes, systems, and reporting, using data to demonstrate impact and establish best practices.

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Virta’s Commercial strategy, teams, performance drivers, and cross-functional dependencies.

  • Establish trusted relationships with Commercial leaders and key partners across the organization.

  • Assume ownership of core Commercial reporting, planning, and OKR operating cadences.

  • Identify and begin leading a high-impact initiative that improves Commercial effectiveness or operational efficiency.

Must-Haves
  • 5-7 years at a leading management consulting firm, investment bank, or internal strategy team

  • Proven ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation.

  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate data into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence leaders and cross-functional partners.

  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, business intelligence tools, and Salesforce

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $108,500-$140,500. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers.

As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.

As a remote-first company, our team is spread across various locations with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.
