Position Summary

As a member of the PR & Communications team, the Content Specialist will be a key contributor to the firm’s website and marketing materials, ensuring that the firm’s digital presence clearly and consistently reflects its priorities, expertise and institutional voice

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create compelling, on-brand copy for a variety of audiences

  • Edit announcements of the firm’s work for internal and external distribution in a fast-paced daily review process with Business Development colleagues

  • Proofread various content to ensure adherence to firm style and editorial guidelines

  • Draft, edit and revise content across the firm’s public website, including practice pages and lawyer bios

  • Help implement website updates to align with GEO best practices

  • Assist in regular refreshes of firm brochures and other printed collateral

  • Track changes to clients’ marketing restrictions and perform audits of the website and marketing materials to ensure compliance

  • Other projects as needed

Qualifications/Position Requirements

  • Exemplary writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Ability to understand complex information and translate it into accessible copy for a variety of audiences

  • Excellent organizational skills and very strong attention to detail

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across teams

Education and/or Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of writing or content marketing experience

  • Experience at a law firm or other professional services firm, or as a legal or business journalist preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Compensation

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 - $125,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, anticipated assignment, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Davis Polk offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
