Position Overview

The Corporate Development Manager will own end-to-end inorganic growth initiatives — from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to negotiating terms and assisting with post-close integration — to advance our strategic roadmap and value creation objectives. This new hire will partner with the Head of M&A to:

  • Drive the full M&A lifecycle (build pipeline, diligence, valuation, deal terms, close, and integrate)
  • Translate investment theses into actionable business cases with quantified synergies, return profiles, and execution plans

This role will be based in our NYC office and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week, blending the best of both worlds for efficiency and collaboration. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location (NYC).

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What You’ll Do:
  • Pipeline and Sourcing – Build and maintain a prioritized funnel of targets aligned to strategic themes; cultivate relationships with founders, bankers, and investors; triage inbound opportunities with crisp fit/no-fit rationale
  • Deal Evaluation – Lead commercial, financial, and operational assessments; structure scenarios, sensitivities, and synergy cases; summarize go/no-go recommendations for executive stakeholders
  • Financial Modeling and Valuation – Build robust three-statement, DCF, trading/transaction comps, and LBO-style downside cases; frame offer ranges and walk-away points; align structure with risk-adjusted returns
  • Diligence Leadership – Run cross-functional diligence workstreams (legal, finance, tax, HR, operations); own the data room, Q&A tracking, red flag resolution, and IC-ready findings
  • Deal Structuring and Negotiation – Draft and iterate key documents (NDAs, LOIs, term sheets, purchase agreements)
  • Integration Planning and Oversight – Serve as DRI for Day-1/100, value-capture workplans, and KPI tracking; ensure explicit owners, timelines, and interlocks across functions; course-correct against synergy drift
  • Executive Communications and Governance – Prepare investment memos, IC materials, board updates, and post-close readouts; establish deal KPIs and cadence for performance management
  • Market and Competitive Intelligence – Maintain a live view of sector dynamics, adjacencies, and disruptors; refresh build/partner/buy perspectives and target lists accordingly
You Have:
  • Minimum 3–6 years in corporate development, investment banking, and/or private equity with demonstrated end-to-end exposure to M&A processes (modeling, diligence, negotiation, and closing)
  • Expert proficiency in deal execution and company evaluation; strong command of transaction structures
  • Strong document familiarity (NDAs, LOIs, SPAs), term mechanics (earnouts, RWI, escrows), and data room best practices
  • High-impact communication skills (concise memos, IC/board materials, stakeholder alignment) and executive presence
  • Industry competence in tech-enabled services, professional services, or human capital services preferred
You Are:
  • Excited to be part of a growing team, with a focus on driving future growth
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service
  • Knowledgeable about the relationship between Private Equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, particularly within the office of the CFO
  • Willing to get your hands dirty in the details of a project while simultaneously seeing the whole picture
  • Comfortable managing projects with multiple complex workstreams while also focused on your single workstream (you are managing and doing)
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • Able to effectively communicate complex issues and solutions, and raise issues to senior team members when necessary
  • A team player, able to work with team members across all levels
  • Someone who enjoys mentoring others and doing meaningful work
  • A leader of others; you lead by example

The annual salary for this role ranges from: $160,000 to $200,000 USD + benefits + bonus. Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.
