Corporate Vice President - Finance Business Partnering (Technology)
Role Overview:
New York Life's Tech, Data, AI & Ventures (TDAV) Finance organization is seeking a Corporate Vice President to support strategic investment planning and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for technology and business partners across the enterprise.
This role partners closely with Finance, Technology, and Business leaders to deliver cost transparency, financial insights, and scalable planning and reporting solutions that enable informed decision-making. The position plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analytics, with a strong focus on technology cost management and optimization.
What You'll Do:
  • Partner with senior Finance, Technology, and Business leaders to support strategic investment and operating decisions
  • Lead and support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting processes
  • Analyze financial performance, identify key trends and drivers, and deliver actionable insights
  • Consolidate and report financial results with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and clarity
  • Provide executive-level reporting and presentations for senior leadership and CFO reviews
  • Support scenario analysis, cost optimization initiatives, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Maintain and enhance financial models, tools, and dashboards to improve cost visibility
  • Support technology financial management capabilities, including Apptio-based cost transparency and reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Strategy, Operations, HR, and other partners

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Data/Business Analytics, or a related field
  • At least 8-12 years of relevant experience in FP&A, technology finance, IT financial management, FinOps, or related roles
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in a complex organization
  • Hands-on experience with Apptio (Cost Transparency, Planning, and/or Target Process preferred)
  • Strong understanding of IT service costing, cost allocation, and financial modeling
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience with financial systems such as Anaplan, Oracle, SAP, Workday Adaptive, or similar tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $133,000-$175,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
