Job Description:About the Team:

The WSJ Custom Events team works with Dow Jones clients to produce engaging, interactive and thoughtful audio, video and stage moments. The Custom Program Manager will pitch and develop topics and themes for custom sessions - in coordination with the team's editorial director - and in partnership with the client.

About the Role

The Custom Program Manager will recruit and manage speaker outreach and communications for all custom in-person and virtual events. Strong writing and interviewing skills are necessary to develop panel discussions and breakout sessions. This person will work closely with the production, marketing and event success teams to ensure all custom sessions are produced and delivered to the highest standards.

You Will:
  • Pitch and develop ideas, topics and themes to clients for their custom sessions

  • Research, recruit and confirm speakers for panel discussions and breakout sessions

  • Write and develop agendas and scripts for custom sessions and events

  • Manage all associated follow-up details and communications, making sure both internal and external stakeholders are kept updated on program developments in a timely manner

  • Manage all speaker relations for events both virtual and in person

You Have:
  • 5+ years of event programming experience with B2B or B2C brands

  • 5+ years of experience working directly with clients and managing client relationships

  • The ability to manage multiple clients and events at the same time

  • A high level of professionalism in working with clients, key internal and external stakeholders and speakers

  • Strong organizational, writing and research skills

Pay Range: $90,000 - $110,000
