MongoDB is hiring a Customer & Partner Advocate reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, as part of the office of the CCO team. This is a high-impact opportunity to work directly with the CCO and senior leadership across the company, helping drive MongoDB’s most important customer & partner relationships and operating rhythms.

MongoDB's CCO oversees a global organization spanning the Professional Services, Customer Success, Partners, and Technical Support. This is the team owning revenue retention and realization. The customers and partners our CCO engages with at the executive level represent some of the most strategically significant relationships in the company.

The Customer & Partner Advocate exists to make every one of those interactions land. You will research, synthesize, prepare, attend, and follow through — ensuring our CCO walks into every executive meeting with a sharp point of view, walks out with clear next steps, and that the relationships our CCO builds translate into real business outcomes for MongoDB.

You will cover both customers and partners equally. The partner dimension is not secondary — co-GTM strategy, exec co-sponsorship, and partner relationship management are as central to this role as direct customer engagement.

You will work hand in hand with the Chief of Staff to the CCO, whose remit spans the same organization. Your work is tightly intertwined — the Chief of Staff owns the internal operating rhythm and strategic priorities; you own the external relationship intelligence and executive engagement. The two functions reinforce each other, and the best outcomes happen when they're in lockstep.

This role can be based remotely in the United States.

Role Responsibilities

Customers & Partners Advocacy & Engagement

  • Partner with the CCO and Chief of Staff to prepare for high-priority customer and partner meetings — crafting thoughtful briefings, coordinating input from internal stakeholders, and ensuring clear follow-up and accountability
  • Join customer and partner meetings with the CCO and senior executives, acting as an advocate for the customer and a connector between the CCO, Sales, and Product teams
  • Build a deep understanding of MongoDB’s strategic accounts, identifying patterns, opportunities, and challenges that inform company strategy
  • Ensure the CCO’s external engagement reflects MongoDB’s top priorities and amplifies our customer-centric culture as well as our efforts to drive more strategic partnerships
  • Proactively monitor customer and partner announcements, market developments, and industry signals to identify moments where MongoDB can re-engage strategically. Surface relevant insights to the CCO and help initiate timely outreach to executive customer or partner stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to translate customers and partners insights into strategic priorities for the CCO, ensuring learnings from the field inform key initiatives and identifying customers to pilot and shape new programs
Role Requirements
  • Experience: 3–5+ years owning strategic customer portfolios with direct accountability for C-level customer relationships and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to structure and synthesize ambiguous information into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Customer Orientation: Deep empathy for customer needs and the ability to translate those into business outcomes
  • Executive Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to interact with senior executives and customers with polish and confidence
  • Collaboration & Influence: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Bias for Action: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a high sense of urgency to get things done
  • Technical & Market Acumen: Interest in software, AI, and data technology; ability to quickly understand MongoDB’s products and strategy
  • Travel: Frequent travel required to support CCO and customer meetings
