Signet Jewelers’ digital brand, Blue Nile, is seeking a Customer Data Strategy Intern to support the expansion and growth of our Customer Data Platform (CDP). In this role, you will collaborate closely with the CRM team to help enhance the activation of customer data. 

Goals for this internship include: 

  • 1st Party Data Assessment: Learn how first party customer data is collected and used across Blue Nile by reviewing what data we capture today and where gaps exist. Build an understanding of how missing or inconsistent data impacts personalization and how we can fill these gaps over time to push growth. Present findings at the end of the internship. 
  • Competitive Benchmarking Analysis: Learn how similar brands use a CDP to drive customer acquisition and retention, by researching competitor examples. Provide ideas to enhance our plan and future strategy. Present this plan at the end of the internship. 

This role will also contribute to: 

  • The integration of additional marketing channels with the CDP  
  • The connection between showrooms and actionable CDP data 

The ideal candidate has a strong interest in data-driven marketing and is eager to learn how customer data can power decision-making across an organization. This role requires intellectual curiosity, a willingness to develop new skills, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for various stakeholders.

  • Additional Learning Opportunities: 
  • Support the CRM team in onboarding and powering new marketing channels with the Customer Data Platform (CDP) 
  • Support the connection of showrooms to the CDP, to enhance insights, personalization & conversions 
  • Contribute to ongoing optimization of CDP-powered initiatives 

Requirements
  • Strong interest in data-driven marketing, customer analytics, predictive analytics, and marketing technology  
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field  
  • Ability to learn new tools, platforms, and technical concepts quickly  
  • Basic familiarity with CRM systems, CDPs, or digital marketing channels 
  • Moderate familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail  
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights  
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment 
  • SQL knowledge a plus, but not required 

Benefits

Hourly base pay:  $17.00 - 19.50. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications. At this time, R2NET will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
