One of RippleMatch’s partners is looking for a mission-driven Customer Engineer based in New York.

Mission

Help reinvent how people living with chronic and rare diseases are supported. We’re building the next generation of patient-engagement software for life sciences—tools that guide patients from diagnosis through onboarding and long-term therapy, improving adherence and outcomes at scale.

The Role

Customer Engineering sits at the intersection of Product, Client Solutions, and Engineering. You’ll own technical implementation and ongoing success for biopharma customers: clarifying requirements, configuring data integrations, translating business rules into workflows, and ensuring the platform reflects exactly what end users expect. This is a customer-facing role with occasional travel (<10%).

What You’ll Own
  • Discovery & requirements: Partner with technical stakeholders to map data sources, business logic, and success criteria.
  • Data integration & configuration: Define required datasets, transform and validate data, and configure load rules so the platform mirrors customer systems.
  • Workflow buildout: Collaborate with Client Solutions to encode SOPs as repeatable, auditable workflows.
  • Identity & connectivity: Support SSO enablement, API integrations, and related security/infra conversations.
  • Support & quality: Troubleshoot issues, analyze feedback, and evolve support processes to drive faster resolution.
  • Insights & analysis: Perform ad-hoc SQL analysis to investigate edge cases and measure impact.
  • Product feedback loop: Propose improvements, contribute to acceptance testing, and inform the roadmap with real user needs.
What You Bring
  • Hands-on experience with relational databases and data-driven systems.
  • Strong SQL (2+ years) and comfort working directly with large, messy datasets.
  • Analytical problem-solver with rigorous attention to detail and quality.
  • Clear written/verbal communicator who can translate user pain points into product enhancements.
  • Customer-facing experience and the ability to lead conversations with technical stakeholders.
  • Bias toward ownership—proactive, resourceful, and improvement-oriented.

Background

  • Bachelor’s in CS, IT, Engineering (e.g., Industrial), or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years in a data analyst, customer engineer, solutions/implementation, or similar role.
Bonus Points
  • JavaScript familiarity for light scripting or validation.
  • Experience with healthcare data (claims, EHR, hub, specialty pharmacy).
  • Knowledge of privacy/security and regulated environments.
Location & Travel
  • Hybrid collaboration in NYC office; periodic on-site customer sessions.
  • Travel to customer sites ~<10%.
Compensation & Benefits
  • $100,000–$130,000 base + equity + comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision).
  • Flexible PTO (unlimited vacation), paid parental leave.
  • Monthly healthy-lifestyle stipend.
  • Career coaching, team events, and a creative, fast-growing environment.
