QA Engineer (Mid-Senior Level)
Teachable is looking for a QA Engineer! We're a tight-knit team of smart people who like to get a lot done with minimal overhead. As a member of our Quality Assurance team, you’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure a high quality user experience across our platform.

Responsibilities:
- Own QA for one of our cross-functional product pods.
- Effectively define and communicate test strategies and help the pod focus discussions on risks, issues and challenges during the SDLC.
- Evolve QA processes and oversee all aspects of quality including establishing metrics and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality.
- Train the Engineering team in QA process and best practices.
- Develop automated tests that can be used as examples by QA and other Engineers.
- Performs code reviews and provides guidance to less experienced QA engineers.
- Suggest and implement improvements to the existing testing framework.
- Troubleshoot and fix CI issues and suggest improvements to our current CI setup.
- Contribute learnings back to the overall QA team through documentation and code reviews.
- Work alongside our product team to analyze design specs and detect potential issues in early stages of development
- Seek and provide feedback consistently and well, with an open mind and willingness to continuously improve.
- Embrace a growth mindset and share a willingness learn new tools and technologies
Qualifications:
- 3-4+ years of experience with test automation
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Working knowledge of programming languages (Ruby is highly desired though we also work with Javascript, Python, etc)
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experienced in CI and cloud infrastructure environments
- Experienced working in an Agile environment
- Strong interpersonal communication skill
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
