Position Summary
We are seeking a Data Science Analyst to join the Consumer Engagement Analytics team, supporting data-driven messaging strategies across our communication portfolio—including emerging channels like RCS. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in analytics and cross-functional collaboration to drive personalized messaging strategies.

What You Will Do:

Technical & Analytical:

  • Perform basic analyses of structured and unstructured data to identify trends, support campaign performance, and generate actionable learnings.
  • Use SQL and Python/R to extract, clean, and process data from multiple sources.
  • Build and maintain dashboards to monitor campaign performance and member engagement in real time.
  • Assist with A/B testing for Messaging features to evaluate impact and inform product decisions.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work with product, marketing, and engineering teams to understand business questions and support analytics solutions.
  • Document processes and share insights in a clear, concise format for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.

Strategic Impact:

  • Support continuous improvement of messaging campaigns through data-driven recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable analytics framework for messaging as a channel.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ months' experience (intern experience is relevant) in analytics or programming
  • 6+ months' experience with SQL
  • 6+ months' experience programming with Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building supervised and unsupervised predictive models in Python (scikit-learn, xgboost, keras)
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to non-technical audiences, including experience creating communication materials (e.g., memos, slide decks)
  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources 
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements under guidance.
  • Healthcare sector experience 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$74,160.00 - $148,320.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
