What you will be doing

As the Director, Data Analytics, you will work with all levels of the company to drive strategy and inform decision-making through evidence-based insights. You will will lead our Data Analytics team and empower our organization to drive impactful, data-driven decisions. Reporting to the VP, Operations Development, the Director, Data Analytics will lead and build the Analytics function from the ground up while defining official data assets associated with key business metrics and ensuring that different groups do not use different results for the same metrics. This role is remote-first and can be located anywhere in the U.S.

What success looks like

• Creating a high-functioning team that works in proactive partnership with individuals across the organization including Product, Operations, Marketing, Engineering and Clinical
• Providing a data-driven perspective on evidence-based decision-making presenting to team, senior leaders and external partners, including: Expanding coverage of data tools, dashboards and knowledge sharing, Owning data quality and health of all analytics to build organizational trust in metrics, and Establishing a program of education across the company to empower teams to be self-reliant.
• Understanding that making data available and usable to key stakeholders is essential to enabling evidence-based decision-making
• Developing analytics and measurement standards for tracking the health of established KPIs and product initiatives based on analytics best practices.
• Working directly with product management to define analysis needs, then translating these into tangible implementations and multivariate experiments that align to the analytics strategy.
• Being capable of utilizing both fact-driven, as well as event-driven analytics methods

What you will bring

• B.S. in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience 
• 5+ years of relevant experience in an analytical function
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Experience working with SQL, R and/or Python
• Experience as a team lead or manager
• Strong interest in life sciences or healthcare 
• Start up mentality: nimble, able to navigate ambiguity, experience building programs and processes from the ground up, player-coach willing to help get the work done
• An insatiable curiosity for data
• Exceptional stakeholder relationship skills
• Ability to establish effective working relationships in a distributed environment
