About Us

Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfill this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.

The Challenge to Solve

Buying affordable, high quality supplies is one of the biggest challenges facing local independent restaurants today; they pay higher prices than franchises and often must use outdated systems to place & receive their orders. Slice’s "The Goods" seeks to solve this challenge by empowering local pizzeria owners to order high-quality supplies at unmatched prices, on demand, in just a few clicks.

The Role

As the Demand and Business Planning Manager for The Goods, you will own the development of accurate, data-driven forecasts that drive supply planning, inventory management, and capacity planning, in addition to supporting overall business planning and analysis. This role is at the intersection of data, operations, and commercial strategy — ensuring the business has the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and business-savvy, with a strong ability to synthesize historical data, market trends, and cross-functional inputs into actionable forecasts. They’ll work closely with sales, finance, and supply chain teams to achieve business objectives and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning

  • Develop and maintain accurate short, mid, and long-term demand forecasts, using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs, at the SKU and warehouse level
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models to improve reliability
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to align forecasts with business expectations
  • Build and support sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes

Business Planning

  • Assist with planning cycles, scenario modeling, and KPI tracking
  • Conduct competitive analysis (competitors, pricing, products) for markets to determine expansion strategy, including where we launch next and when
  • Support budgeting, market performance, and operational metrics to guide strategic decisions

Capacity Planning

  • Forecast and plan capacity requirements for delivery vehicles, drivers, and ordering reps, based on demand projections and actuals
  • Work closely with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure optimal resource allocation
  • Identify potential constraints and propose actionable solutions to meet delivery SLAs

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in business planning, demand forecasting, operations, or analytics
  • Strong modeling and spreadsheet skills
  • Ability to think end-to-end: from big-picture planning to detail-level execution
  • Clear communicator who can work cross-functionally and present insights to leadership
  • A bias toward action and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Experience in a fast-moving environment—consumer products, logistics, ecomm, or marketplace ops is a bonu
