About Kojo

It's time to build. Whether it's creating more housing, upgrading our infrastructure, or adapting to climate change, one thing is clear: the construction industry is at the center of solving our biggest problems. We’re making buildings cheaper and easier to build by transforming the way commercial construction companies buy their materials. Join us.

Founded in 2018, Kojo is now one of the fastest-growing construction technology companies in the world. Construction accounts for $10 trillion in global spend annually and we can’t live without its output - our roads, schools, hospitals, and offices. Despite this, there’s been very little innovation over the past 70 years in how materials - which constitute up to 40% of project costs - are bought and sold. This is our opportunity.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will be responsible for both creating and capturing demand through performance marketing, the website, account-based and signal-based programs, and the ops and analytics underneath all of it.

This isn't a traditional channel-manager role. We want someone who is part growth marketer and part "Gen" marketer: someone who builds AI agents and workflows to get the output of a much larger team, runs integrated campaigns instead of optimizing channels in isolation, and is comfortable producing and distributing their own campaign assets. You'll pull in contractors, agencies, and AI tools as needed, and you'll have real ownership of strategy, budget, and results.

Strategy and ownership
  • Growth Marketing Strategy: Set channel strategy and plan campaigns to meet pipeline and revenue goals.

  • Own the pipeline number: Set demand gen strategy, channel mix, and quarterly plans to hit pipeline and revenue targets.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Work with sales on target accounts, handoffs, and follow-ups; with product marketing on messaging and launches; and with events to convert leads into pipeline.

  • Own the martech stack: Build a modern tech stack and lead the way on experimenting and implementing new tactics and tools like automated outbound, signal-based campaigns, ABX tactics, etc.

Performance marketing
  • Paid search and paid social: Own strategy, execution, and budget across Google, LinkedIn, Meta, and other paid channels, with clear efficiency targets.

  • Test and scale: Run a steady cadence of creative, audience, and offer experiments, cut what doesn't work, and scale what does.

Website, CRO, and search
  • Conversion: Own website conversion. Build landing pages, run A/B tests, and improve the paths from visit to demo.

  • SEO, AEO, and GEO: Grow organic discovery in both traditional search and LLMs (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) through technical optimization, structured content, and measurement.

ABX, signal-based, and outbound
  • Signal-based campaigns: Use intent, engagement, and first-party data to trigger timely, automated plays across ads, email, and outbound.

  • Outbound with SDRs: Design automated and signal-driven outbound sequences, build target lists, and work with SDRs/BDRs to turn engagement into meetings.

AI-first execution and campaign orchestration
  • Build with AI: Create AI agents and workflows for account research, outbound, campaign production, and reporting, and help the rest of the team adopt them.

  • Create and distribute: Produce campaign assets yourself (content, ads, emails, landing pages, social) with help from AI, and get the most out of existing content by repurposing and distributing it across channels.

About You
  • 7-10+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience, primarily in demand generation or growth, at startups from Seed to Series C. Experience with a sales-led, ENT-focused motion is a plus.

  • Pipeline ownership: You've owned a marketing-sourced pipeline target and can talk through how you planned for it, what levers you’ve pulled to hit it, and what you'd do differently.

  • Performance marketing depth: Hands-on experience running and scaling paid search and paid social, including managing budget and improving CAC.

  • Web, CRO, and search: Experience improving website conversion, and driving meaningful growth through SEO, AEO, and GEO.

  • Maker instincts: You can write and produce solid campaign assets with AI's help, and you care about quality.

  • ABX and signal-based experience: You've built account-based programs and used intent or engagement signals to trigger campaigns and outbound.

  • Ops and analytics: You can run HubSpot and a modern martech stack without help, from attribution and routing to dashboards leadership trusts.

  • AI builder: You've built AI agents or workflows (in tools like Clay, n8n, Zapier, or with LLM APIs) that made you or your team measurably faster. Bring examples.

  • Strategic and scrappy: You're as comfortable setting strategy as you are building in the tools yourself. You like ambiguity, test constantly, and hold a high bar.
