In this regard, the Morgan Stanley U.S. Banks seek an Associate to join the product management team and report to the Deposit Product Manager. The Morgan Stanley U.S. Banks (Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association and Morgan Stanley Bank N.A.) offer a range of deposit products including brokerage account sweep deposits via the Bank Deposit Program, as well as Savings, CDs, and Global Currency deposit products for Wealth Management clients. Deposit growth is also an important strategic initiative among other responsibilities. 

The Associate will play a key role in advancing the growth and management of Morgan Stanley Bank’s deposit product suite across both the advisor-led and E*TRADE self-directed channels. This role blends project management, analytics, reporting and strategic execution to support firmwide balance growth priorities. The Associate will support initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams, respond to inquiries from Private Bankers, Financial Advisors, Managers, and other stakeholders, and execute core product management activities. This is a highly collaborative position offering meaningful opportunity to influence deposit strategy, build product expertise, and present insights to senior leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and launch of Morgan Stanley Deposit Products across Advised or Self-Directed channel
  • Drive project management of new products and/or initiatives from pilot through launch; coordinate cross-functional deliverables across Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Finance
  • Provide data & analytics to inform decision-making, monitor financial performance, and develop key performance metrics
  • Develop presentations to senior management and regulators to inform pricing and/or product strategies  
  • Analyze competitive strategies across the industry and synthesize actionable insights
  • Prepare financial forecasts for Senior Management
  • Draft client communications and collaborate with cross functional partners to develop and implement Deposit Products marketing strategy
  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Audit on an ongoing and project-based basis to ensure adherence to rules, regulations and heightened standards
  • Support Financial Advisors and Private Bankers in the marketing of all deposit products and the resolution of any escalated client issues

Experience

  • 2-4 years of professional experience
  • Wealth Management, Management Consulting, and/or project management experience is a plus
  • General knowledge of retail and private banking products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or any STEM field

Skills/Abilities

  • Strategic and growth-oriented mindset
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex problems, perform independent analysis, and produce actional insights
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of SQL and other programming languages is a plus
  • Strong project management capability; ability to plan and execute multiple workstreams and partners, and keep initiatives moving from concepts to delivery
  • Appreciate & encourage diversity of people, ideas & perspectives

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
