Development Manager - Full Stack

In this role you will get to:

  • Set the table for innovation of an industry leading, cutting edge travel product.

  • Provide feedback and influence the performance and career development of engineers.

  • Set and ensure technical direction, primarily for AI/ML powered services that back an immersive UI/UX.

  • Continuously collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers of all levels and across disciplines.

  • Collaborate with senior management in developing technology roadmaps and executing existing initiatives.

  • Lead multiple projects - including planning, prioritization, and task delegation.

  • Enforce and ensure accountability for the quality of software that is crafted.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proven leader in hiring, mentoring, coaching and developing engineering talent, including performance management.

  • Experienced knowledge of distributed systems and microservices,  API development,  web services and their standard methodologies and architecture patterns. 

  • Experience with building AI native software or integrating generative AI into software is a must. 

  • Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL. Knowledge of enterprise languages/ecosystems (such as Java or Kotlin) and experience with React and React metaframeworks is a strong bonus.

  • A crafty problem solver to knock in a fast paced environment who works to find effective solutions. You knock down barriers.

  • Ability to drive the development of high scale systems and system integrations.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, certain roles may be eligible for an annual bonus and/or equity grant.

The salary range for this position is $200,000-230,000 USD.

Flexible work at Priceline

Priceline is following a hybrid working model, which includes two days onsite as determined by you and your manager (ideally selecting among Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). On the remaining days, you can choose to be remote or in the office.
