Key Responsibilities

·         Manage VMware vSphere, including ESXi, vCenter, virtual machine provisioning, snapshots, vMotion, and cluster operations.

·         Execute Windows and Linux operating system patching, updates, and remediation on an established schedule.

·         Manage the end-to-end SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle, including procurement, installation, renewal, and expiration monitoring.

·         Diagnose server, application, and network issues using Windows Event Viewer, IIS logs, and infrastructure monitoring tools.

·         Maintain system documentation, operational runbooks, and change records.

Cloud Infrastructure, Security & Compliance

·         Support and troubleshoot workloads across on-premises environments and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

·         Implement infrastructure hardening guidance, including CIS benchmarks and STIGs, as applicable.

·         Address vulnerability scan findings within established service-level requirements.

·         Support applicable compliance and audit activities, including SOC 2, PCI, and HIPAA.

·         Manage secrets and credential rotation for service accounts, API keys, and certificates.

Minimum Qualifications

·         3+ years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, site reliability engineering, systems administration, or a related role.

·         Hands-on administration of Windows Server 2016 or later, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

·         Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft IIS, including application pools, SSL bindings, request filtering, and logging.

·         Strong understanding of SSL/TLS certificate procurement, installation, automated renewal, and expiration management.

·         Experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi 7+/8 and vCenter) and/or Azure VMware Solution.

·         Experience with Windows and Linux patching tools and processes (WSUS, SCCM/MECM, yum, apt, or equivalents).

·         Working knowledge of at least one CI/CD platform and scripting proficiency in PowerShell plus Bash, Python, or Go.

·         Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, firewalls, and load balancers.

·         Experience managing or deploying workloads in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

·         Strong technical troubleshooting, documentation, and written communication skills.

·         Must reside in the U.S. Eastern Time Zone and be available during Eastern Time business hours.

Key Competencies

·         Hands-on infrastructure engineer who can balance automation projects with reliable daily systems operations.

·         Methodical troubleshooter who diagnoses issues across servers, applications, networks, and cloud environments.

·         Security-minded collaborator who maintains clear documentation and communicates effectively with technical partners.

·         Proactive problem solver who reduces manual work and improves reliability through repeatable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

·         VMware NSX-T or HCX and on-premises VMware migrations to Azure VMware Solution.

·         Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE, or self-hosted), Helm, Terraform, and/or Ansible.

·         HashiCorp Vault or similar secrets management and certificate automation tools; ACME, ADCS, or managed PKI.

·         Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK.
