Job Overview

Bloomingdale’s is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Site Marketing Web Developer to join our full-service in-house creative and production team. The ideal candidate has a digital marketing and web design background, as well as experience with an enterprise level management system and cross-functional project work.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with the design, copy, site, merch marketing and project planning teams to collect and export content from Figma for homepage and landing pages.
  • Develop web experiences within Adobe Experience Manager and Contentful to accurately match editorial content mockups
  • QA web content to ensure development matches the creative team’s designs and ensure content functions correctly on all screen sizes. Effectively collect and communicate feedback to development team. This will require precise attention to detail and organizational skills. HTML/CSS/Javascript knowledge needed.
  • Design assets using existing templates to enhance Bloomingdale’s branding and storytelling. Projects entail selecting, then cropping images and formatting copy for emails, site and app assets, lookbooks, animations. May also include design research. 
  • Conceptualize and design new components and templates for AEM and Contentful while considering UX best practices. 
  • Attend site design meetings with cross functional teams. Give UX feedback on Figma designs and participate in UAT.
  • Assist in maintaining Bloomingdale’s digital style guide and design systems.
  • Communicate ideas and present them with conviction. Interpret direction and apply changes.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Relevant portfolio of recent work
  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, and/or similar CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of Adobe suite
  • 2+ years experience in building websites leveraging an enterprise-level Content Management System
  • 2+ years of experience in website development
  • 2+ years experience with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Experience collaborating wth design and engineering teams
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success in project management
  • Ability to manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables
  • Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
  • Ability to think creatively, strategically and technically
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
  • This role involves performing essential job functions such as communication, collaboration, and use of office and computer systems. Responsibilities include the ability to access and review written and electronic information, and to move within the work environment and interact with workplace materials as needed to carry out job responsibilities.
