Role at a Glance

As Gecko’s Digital Marketing Strategist, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and executing our digital vision across a range of platforms. You will guide the translation of Gecko’s mission, products, and culture into compelling digital content that engages customers, captivates audiences and enhances our brand image. You’ll take on varied projects that cover a variety of vital industries - from defense to energy - that directly enhance our public engagement and brand recognition. You will focus on areas like social media, email marketing, SEO, and paid advertising while analyzing data to optimize performance for target audiences. You will lead high-impact, performance-driven campaigns across Gecko’s digital platforms.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute comprehensive organic and paid social media strategies to amplify Gecko's brand presence and engagement on digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube.

  • Research and understand target audiences to tailor marketing efforts effectively.

  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of thought leadership on social platforms, including routine LinkedIn newsletters

  • Analyze social media performance metrics and apply insights to optimize content strategies and drive audience engagement.

  • Create monthly social media calendars aligned with key business development,  recruitment, sales, marketing, and communications initiatives

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging social media platforms to ensure Gecko remains at the cutting edge of digital engagement.

  • Plan, manage, and optimize paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and LinkedIn advertising.

  • Monitor and provide reporting on Google Analytics and other platforms for website traffic, organic performance, and other relevant data to identify areas for optimization and offer actionable recommendations

About You

You're a creative and strategic thinker with a talent for storytelling. You have a deep understanding of social media dynamics and the ability to translate complex concepts into relatable, engaging content. You thrive in fast-moving environments, maintaining creativity and a positive outlook under pressure. Your strong communication skills and collaborative spirit enable you to build relationships across the organization and the digital sphere. You have the ability to translate data analytics into strategic insights that drive performance. You are a data-driven problem solver with expertise in audience targeting, paid media, social content creation, and conversion optimization.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management with a proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns across a range of platforms.

  • Basic proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and a knack for storytelling.

  • Experience analyzing website traffic, campaign performance, and other relevant data to identify areas for improvement

  • Deep understanding of performance marketing, retargeting strategies, and audience segmentation.

  • Familiarity with analytics tools to derive insights and track social media and website performance.

Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Experience in the tech or start-up environment is advantageous.

  • Basic design experience and comfort with platforms such as Canva.

  • Experience using email marketing platforms with proficiency in HTML/CSS for design and data analysis.
