We are currently seeking a Dir - Partner Management to join our Partner Management & Strategy team based in our New York, New York, Headquarters.
JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Partner Management is an integral member of the distribution team focused on growing AMCN subscription & streaming services and driving incremental revenue. This role is a strategic leader for linear and FAST network performance and is responsible for expanding content distribution opportunities through Digital, vMVPD and MVPD partnerships. The Distribution team is part of the larger AMCN Commercial Revenue organization.
The Director, Partner Management will work cross-functionally to execute partner initiatives that are directly tied to the strategic revenue goals of the organization and negotiate for earned value above and beyond the baseline of the deal. The ideal candidate is a partner-focused strategist who collaborates internally and externally to support the development of partner plans and the optimization of AMCN brands across diverse affiliate/partner ecosystems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Key voice steering account-specific business plans, KPI’s, goals and deliverables in support of leadership initiatives
- Partner with distribution deal teams to support contract renewals and negotiations including: management of partner specific intelligence, identifying growth opportunities, ensurance of contractual compliance and maximization of deal ROI
- Drive incremental revenue via negotiated merchandising, strategic partnerships & new business development
- Exhibit an in-depth understanding of partner KPI’s including subscription, linear and transactional revenue
- Develop and manage strong working relationships across affiliate, digital and DTC distribution partners; represent account strategy to key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Execute, track, and analyze account-specific tactical plans that align with subscriber, revenue, growth targets
- People manager with responsibility for the contributions, growth & development of a Manager level employee
- Cultivate and manage relationships with internal stakeholders including distribution deal teams, marketing, research, finance, legal and operations teams. Centralize and communicate partner information between teams
- Create and contribute to C-suite-level presentations that clearly communicate AMCN goals, tactical plans and results
- Synthesize research from across the company to inform and strengthen customized partner strategies
- Work in close collaboration with marketing, operations, and deal teams to expand AMCN presence on distributor platforms and elevate SVOD/App discoverability and viewer engagement
- Monitor, track and communicate market trends, emerging product opportunities and competitive insights to internal partner management and cross-functional internal partners
- Serve as the day-to-day lead on all subject matters related to partner initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
- College degree required with an emphasis in business, marketing and/or communications.
- 8-10+ years' experience in media, distribution, Pay or Streaming TV
- 2-4 years in distribution or proven experience with client negotiations
- A background in account management and/or subscriber-focused partnerships; preferably in TV, cable or streaming media businesses
- Broad knowledge of the media industry, streaming platforms, company organization, policies, and practices
- Excellent working knowledge across Microsoft Office applications
- Strong oral & written communication skills with ability to interact with executive level internal leaders and external clients
- Well organized, detail oriented and a self-starter
- Ability to maintain highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy
The base compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $155,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
