Director, Agentic Automation

The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Director, Agentic Automation to join our Business Intelligence team in our New York, NY location.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hands‑On Agentic Build & Prototyping

• Personally design and implement agentic automation solutions using:
• Power Automate (Cloud)
• Power Automate Desktop (Attended & Unattended)
• Copilot Studio (reasoning, orchestration, decisioning)
• Azure AI Foundry + Playwright (for advanced browser automation)
• Python as needed
• Build production‑grade agents that:
• Ingest structured and semi‑structured data (Airtable, CSV, SharePoint, APIs)
• Reason over incomplete or messy inputs using LLMs
• Execute actions in complex web UIs with dynamic selectors
• Verify success via OCR, screenshot validation, and state‑based confirmation
• Prototype “last‑mile” automations where APIs are unavailable, and human work still dominates.

Agentic Architecture & Implementation Strategy

• Define the enterprise reference architecture for computer‑use agents, including:
• When to use Power Automate Desktop vs Azure AI Foundry
• Standards for reasoning loops vs scripted flows
• Criteria for attended, unattended, and fully serverless agents
• Establish repeatable patterns such as:
• Trigger → Reason → Act → Verify → Recover loops
• Exception escalation to humans via Teams
• Evidence‑capture and auditability by design
• Translate business processes into agent‑first operating models, not just automated tasks

Governance, Reliability & Scale

• Own standards for:
• Agent reliability and recovery behavior
• Credential handling, session isolation, and browser hygiene
• Change management for brittle UIs and downstream system shifts
• Hosting, Frameworks, Source Control
• Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance to ensure agents operate within approved boundaries.
• Implement monitoring via Power Platform CoE and outcome‑based metrics (hours saved, cycle time reduction, error rate).

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related technical field OR equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in agentic workflows and defining enterprise implementation strategies
• Deep, hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including:
• Power Automate Cloud
• Power Automate Desktop (Unattended RPA)
• AI Builder
• Copilot Studio
• Proven experience automating web‑based, non‑API systems.
• Strong understanding of:
• LLM reasoning patterns
• Prompt engineering for decision‑making, not content generation
• UI brittleness, selector strategies, and verification loops
• Experience running automations on Azure VMs or cloud‑hosted machine groups.

Preferred

• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or headless browser automation.
• Python or .NET experience for agent backends or orchestration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft’s emerging agentic AI patterns and governance models
• Prior ownership of automation platforms in enterprise environments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Snowflake

The base compensation for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 commensurate with experience.
