This team plays a pivotal role in partnering with businesses across New York Life Investments to drive AI innovation and deliver transformative value.
In this high-impact role, you will report to the Head of AI and Data Science and work closely with the Head of Operations and the Head of Real Estate Intelligence to define, design, and deliver AI-driven tools that enhance decision-making and streamline operational processes. You will build Real Estate Investors(REI) AI and data science capabilities from the ground up, initially focused on improving efficiency in commercial loan origination through intelligent automation and data-driven insights. We are seeking a visionary AI Product Manager to lead the development and execution of next-generation AI solutions transforming how REI sources, analyzes, and manages commercial real estate investments.
What You'll Do:
  • Define a forward-thinking AI product strategy aligned with REI's investment goals and broader technology roadmap.
  • Translate business problems into AI-powered solutions that enhance workflow, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Own the AI product roadmap and manage end-to-end execution, from model development and testing to operational deployment and user adoption.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, designers, and front-end developers to ensure technical feasibility and seamless integration with REI systems.
  • Conduct hands-on QA of AI models, analyze performance results, and drive iterative improvements to ensure production-grade reliability.
  • Leverage large language models (LLMs), Agentic AI systems, and human-in-the-loop (HITL) frameworks to deliver scalable, context-aware tools that support investment decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary bridge between technical teams and real estate practitioners to gather insights, validate solutions, and drive adoption.
  • Present AI product strategy, roadmap progress, and measurable impact to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:
  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading AI/ML-driven initiatives.
  • Proven success collaborating with engineers to build, test, and refine AI models in production environments.
  • Technical fluency in modern AI/ML systems, including large language model (LLM) orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and scalable data integration across enterprise platforms.
  • Experience integrating structured human feedback and expert review into model evaluation and continuous refinement.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.

Preferred Experience:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency with AWS (e.g., S3, Lambda, SageMaker), Python, and SQL for data development and integration.
  • Experience connecting AI models with enterprise data through REST APIs, webhooks, and Kafka event streams.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint-based document workflows, content structuring, and metadata design for retrieval automation.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate, private equity, or investment workflows preferred.
