Description

Berry Street is a business-in-a-box platform enabling registered dietitians to start and scale private practices that accept health insurance. We provide all of the software needed to run a thriving practice + administrative services like insurance contracting, eligibility verification, customer support, claims billing, and even patient acquisition.

The Opportunity:

Berry Street is tackling America's most comprehensive health crisis: food. More than half of Americans are struggling with their relationship with food, are clinically overweight, or suffer from a chronic condition linked to their diet.

Nutrition therapy is clinically proven to make a difference, and most commercial health insurance plans cover it at $0 out-of-pocket. Berry Street empowers registered dietitians to launch and grow in-network private practices. We're creating game-changing technology to build America's largest dietitian network and ensure that anyone can access the help they need.

Since launching in January 2023, we've grown to over 1,000 providers on our platform and tens of thousands of patients served, across all 50 states. We're a Series B company, and we're looking for future Digital Health leaders to help us build our next chapter.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced data analytics engineer to take us to the next level of being a data-driven company. In this role, you will build our analytics function from the ground up and work cross-functionally with leadership to inform business decisions and company priorities. You have a strong passion for tapping into the collective company knowledge to make sure that we’re making strong choices that set us up for success in the longterm.

This is where you come in

We’re a small team with a big mission. We move fast, solve hard problems, and take pride in building things the right way. The truth is: this is a demanding job. It requires focus, urgency, and often, time outside of traditional hours.

If you’re looking for a predictable 40-hour workweek, this isn’t the right fit. But if you want to grow quickly, take real ownership, and see the direct impact of your work every day—you’ll find that the challenge is well worth it. We’re all here for the same reason: to build something meaningful and lasting.

How you'll spend your time at Berry Street:

  • Collaborating with leaders across the organization to correctly frame and evaluate decisions in a data-driven manner, i.e. leveraging our existing data to best target and deploy our marketing spend to acquire ideal customers
  • Managing the development and maintenance of our data product (dashboards/reports/analyses/etc) and, as much as possible, democratizing access to that data product across the organization
  • Strongly contributing to the development of our data product

  • Building data pipelines and transforms to power analytics and dashboarding

You will love this role if:

  • You are a strategic thinker. You enjoy seeing the bigger picture and are able to align data initiatives with business goals.
  • You are a natural communicator. You can convey data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders while fostering collaboration across teams.
  • You thrive on solving complex problems. You enjoy diving deep into data to identify patterns, uncover hidden opportunities, and drive innovation within the organization.
  • You have a player-coach mentality. While we've set up a solid foundation, you'll be the first official data hire. You're excited to get your hands dirty. This is an IC role – you will be hands-on keys to key things going.
