The OpportunityData is core to what we do, from the ML systems that identify content opportunities to the customer-facing analytics that prove ROI. We're looking for a Director of Data to build and lead our Data function. You'll own data engineering, science, and analytics, working directly with founders and product leadership to shape how we use data across the platform.
Key ResponsibilitiesData PlatformOwn end-to-end data platform: batch and streaming pipelines ingesting from crawlers, integration APIs (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, CDN Logs), product analytics, and CRM
Run the data warehouse with strong performance, cost management, and observability
Implement orchestration, dbt transformations, data contracts, and automated testing
Build ML systems that analyze AI search behavior, identify content opportunities, and predict performance
Take models from research to production, optimizing for latency and cost at scale
Deliver metrics that power dashboards, experiments, and customer-facing analytics
Partner with Product and GTM teams on tracking plans and impact measurement
Build and lead the data team: hire, mentor, and level up engineers and scientists
Drive cross-functional projects and translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required
8+ years in data roles with 3+ years leading teams
Strong background in both data engineering and data science
Expert SQL and Python; hands-on with dbt, Airflow/Prefect, Snowflake/BigQuery
Track record building data products that directly impact business outcomes
Preferred
Domain experience in marketing, ad tech, or growth experimentation
Experience with LLM applications and AI agents
Background in customer-facing analytics products
