Applecart is the leading technology company that C-suites rely on to reach business-critical decision makers. The most important decisions are made by the hardest people to reach and influence. Historically, C-suite leaders have lacked the tools to reach the stakeholders who matter most to their business. The C-suites of hundreds of Fortune 500 companies, major agencies, trade associations, nonprofits, and governments use Applecart to put their best content in front of business-critical decision makers and those they trust —  from policymakers and investors to CEOs, key employees, members of the media and more. Decision makers are informed by what they read, learn from advisors, hear from colleagues, and discuss with family and friends. To break through to them, you must reach them through the only channel that really moves them: those they know and trust. Applecart’s platform uses publicly available data to map billions of social relationships between nearly every American adult and enable clients to deliver content directly to decision makers and those who matter most to them.

We are hiring a Director of Digital Insights in our New York City office.

About the Role:

As the Director of Digital Insights, you will be a strategic leader and go-to expert for all digital reporting and analytics across our client accounts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact insights and deliverables that drive client success. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical expertise, and strong leadership skills, as well as a willingness to dig into the data directly for reporting across high-profile client work.

What you’ll do:

  • Create and drive the vision for the digital reporting center of excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and grow the team by nurturing individual development through regular, actionable feedback. Foster a high-performance culture and strong team morale by championing career growth and setting clear expectations.
  • Oversee and enhance all post-sales reporting, including strategic and actionable digital insights and campaign reporting to improve client outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive reporting process that aligns with client goals and company objectives.
  • Design and enhance client data visualizations to promote insightful reporting, driving engagement with clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all digital reporting-related inquiries and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to understand their business objectives and reporting needs.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance client outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of reporting frameworks, tools, and methodologies and refine reporting templates.
  • Ensure the accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of all reports and dashboards.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within data to provide actionable insights.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital analytics.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate advanced analytics capabilities.

Experiences and Capabilities You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital analytics, reporting, or insights roles, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Extensive experience working directly with non-technical C-Suite stakeholders/clients; ideally Chief Communications Officers and Heads of Public Affairs or Government Relations.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in digital marketing metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a marketing tech startup or similar environment is a plus.

This is a hybrid role. Work from home or in the office on Monday and Friday, and in Applecart’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday.

Compensation:

Our compensation package consists of three components: (i) a base salary, (ii) annual cash bonus, and (iii) generous equity compensation.

The base salary range for this role is between $135,000-175,000, based on the candidate's experience and skills relative to the requirements listed above.
