AHEAD is seeking a Director, Financial Solutions to join our Financial Solutions Group (FSG). This role supports a geographic territory aligned with sales and partners closely with sales leadership, clients, accounts receivable, manufacturers, and internal finance teams.
The Director, Financial Solutions helps AHEAD structure strategic financing solutions, improve cash outcomes, support complex transactions, and enable financial selling across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong financial-selling experience with commercial judgment, analytical rigor, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Attend quarterly business review (QBR) meetings at the request of sales leadership.
- Lead financial selling for product opportunities when needed, including total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and creation.
- Respond to financing requests with appropriate strategic solutions tailored to the opportunity and client.
- Provide tax and freight billing instructions for financed opportunities and complete final booking checklists in partnership with the appropriate teams.
- Resolve terms mismatches using AHEAD’s internal resolution criteria, including considerations related to internal cost of funds, financing, manual invoicing, and distributor financing.
- Manage the unfunded report to minimize days sales outstanding (DSO) for financed receivables.
- Maximize AHEAD’s cash advantage by pursuing financing for large software transactions whenever appropriate.
- Help manage credit limits with select suppliers during peak periods by reviewing and vetting large transactions.
- Support Accounts Receivable, when requested, with the collection of problem cash accounts. A key objective is to introduce financing as a more efficient collection solution when appropriate.
- Model and present Dell TLA opportunities to strategically position AHEAD with clients.
- Build trusted relationships with sales teams and business partners while serving as a subject-matter expert on financing strategy and execution.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- MBA preferred.
- 10 or more years of experience in financial selling.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Professional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, finance, accounts receivable, manufacturers, and clients.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into practical business recommendations.
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings (“OTE”) for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
