Position Overview: 

The Director, Global Marketing Communications, will play a key leadership role within the Global Marketing Communications organization to shape and ensure strong brand building and cohesive storytelling across all communication touchpoints and in all markets. This role will lead the development of initiatives designed to deliver against the Company's key strategic and financial goals, including driving brand desirability and relevance. This position reports into the Vice President, Global Marketing Communications. 

The Director will need to demonstrate highly developed leadership and strategic skills coupled with a focus on driving results. Specifically:  1) Analytics:  Translate analytics and insights into marketing communications plans that can generate a positive impact on business results; 2) Innovative Thinking: Act as a 'change agent' in teams or organizations by bringing best-in-class external perspectives, including those of our clients; 3) Effective Leadership and Collaboration:  Lead projects across a multifunctional global organization; define new work processes and operate effectively within those that already exist; 4) Results-Driven Approach:  Focus on strong and rigorous execution with a sensitivity around communication and management of critical timelines; 5) Management: Ownership of the communication strategy for product launches; people management in supervision of direct report.

 

This is an in-office role based in New York City. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of 360 communication activations that translate Product Marketing briefs into cohesive global campaigns; strengthening brand equity; and achieving strategic and financial goals. Where possible, leverage competitive and consumer insights to help leadership evolve global brand positioning.
  • Support Global Marketing Communications leadership to ensure excellence in strategy and execution - delivering the initiatives and full asset toolkits to the cross-functional global partners and regions on-time and within budget. Become a valued partner of the regionally based communications teams by aligning regions behind the centrally defined marketing vision and investment for the brand.
  • Monitor competitive marketing communications plans globally with the goal of enabling smart competitive response planning and activation Global and regional teams.
  • Become an expert in the competitive landscape and leverage best-in-class examples and trends to enhance Tiffany & Co. content and ensure that the brand is leading cultural conversations.
  • Deliver operational and process improvements that drive increased efficiency within Global Marketing and regional communications teams. On an ongoing basis partner closely with Product Marketing, Creative and Production teams on systemic process improvement and strategic alignment. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Senior leader with significant experience in global marketing communications and deep understanding of luxury, retail, culture, style, and design
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional workflows in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Strong experience partnering with creative teams and managing multiple stakeholders across functions and regions.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, organization, and leadership skills
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and develop a high performing and agile team.
  • Position Location: 200 Fifth Avenue - New York, NY 

 

The hiring range for this position ranges from $175,000 - $233,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience. Management is also eligible for bonus.
