About Zoe Financial

Zoe is an end-to-end wealth platform that helps clients grow and protect their wealth through innovative technology and exceptional client service. Zoe has raised $45M in venture capital and is backed by Sageview Capital and the Opportunity Fund. Former and current operators from JP Morgan, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, Uber, and DoorDash are also part of our cap table.

Our leadership team has over 20 years of industry experience at firms like Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Principal, and Learnvest. We offer the excitement of a rapidly growing company with the stability of a tenured leadership team and board. We have offices in New York and Bogotá, Colombia.

We move fast. We set the bar high. And we're looking for someone who does too.

About the Role

We are hiring a Director of Investments to lead portfolio construction and analytics on the Zoe platform.

Zoe runs a multi custodial TAMP that independent RIAs use to manage client portfolios across Apex, Schwab, and others. Advisors choose from a marketplace of models built by leading asset managers, and our platform handles rebalancing, trading, and account transitions. As more advisors join and more models come onto the platform, Portfolio Construction and Analytics becomes a critical function.

You will own what goes into client portfolios: which models we offer and how we evaluate them, the custom models we build for RIAs, and the analytics behind every portfolio conversation. You will be the investment voice advisors work with when they evaluate the platform, propose portfolios to clients, or explore new investment solutions.

Our trading operations team leads portfolio implementation, including daily trading, rebalancing, and execution. You will work closely with them, and with product, compliance, and sales, to make sure what we build for advisors is sound, scalable, and clearly explained.

This is a senior, hands on seat at a growing company. You will set the process, build the analysis yourself, and sit in front of advisors. You will report to the VP of Investments. The role is an individual contributor at the start, with room to build a team around portfolio construction and analytics as the platform grows.

What You'll Do

  • Own the model marketplace: Manage relationships with model managers, run due diligence and onboarding, and decide how models are reviewed and maintained. Document every review so the diligence file is always audit-ready.
  • Run investment governance: Set the cadence for model reviews, prepare materials for investment committee discussions, and keep a clear record of what changed and why.
  • Communicate changes to advisors: When a model changes, a manager is added or removed, or markets move in ways that matter, explain it to advisors quickly and in plain language. Build the education and training that helps advisors use the platform well.
  • Build custom models for RIAs: Design and maintain model portfolios tailored to advisor and client needs.
  • Lead advisor conversations on portfolios: Be the investment voice in proposals, portfolio reviews, and sales conversations with RIAs.
  • Support sales and advisor recruiting: Join prospect meetings as the investment expert. Show RIAs how our model lineup, portfolio construction, and transition analysis compare to what they use today. Build the materials sales uses to make that case.
  • Own transitions: Analyze incoming accounts and build transition proposals that weigh tax impact, risk, and fit.
  • Bring analytics to portfolio decisions: Build the analysis behind model selection, portfolio fit, and performance conversations, and turn it into tools the team can reuse.

What You Bring

  • 8-10 years in portfolio construction or investment management at an RIA, TAMP, asset manager, or OCIO
  • Deep experience with model portfolios, SMAs or UMAs, and tax-aware transitions
  • Confidence presenting portfolio construction to advisors and their clients
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data (SQL or Python is a plus)
  • CFA charter or progress toward it preferred
  • Series 65 / Series 24

Nice to Have

  • Experience with rebalancing platforms and multi-custodial operations
  • Familiarity with direct indexing and alternatives
  • Experience at a growing fintech or startup

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $150,000- 300,000 depending on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education.
  • Healthcare, Dental & Vision Coverage
  • Commuting & Gym benefits
  • 401(K)
  • 3 weeks PTO
