About the Team 

College Board Operations Division is a best-in-class digital assessment delivery and customer engagement function that supports millions of students and thousands of test centers, annually. The Operations team is leading exciting work to advance customer experience using innovative solutions, emerging technologies, and integrated products to enhance the end-to-end delivery of digital assessments and all aspects of customer support. The Knowledge, Learning & Operational Effectiveness team collaborates across all operational functions to design and deliver integrated solutions that power our core operations. Our mission is to create a connected ecosystem that supports College Board digital experiences, enabling operational efficiency and exceptional customer outcomes. From backend systems to educator-facing content, every solution we deliver is purposefully crafted to enhance the customer journey, ensuring seamless, intuitive, and impactful interactions at every stage.  

 

About the Opportunity  

 

The Operations Division is modernizing how we deliver learning solutions to enable high-impact, user-centered experiences. We are seeking a Director Learning Systems Enablement to lead the cross-functional execution, implementation, and adoption of College Board’s enterprise Learning Management System (LearnUpon).  This role operates at the intersection of product delivery, systems implementation, user enablement, and change management—ensuring the Learning Management System (LMS) delivers measurable value to both internal teams and external learners. As the primary point of contact for internal training and content creators, you will guide stakeholders in leveraging LearnUpon’s capabilities to develop and deliver high-quality training programs. You will gather business requirements, translate user needs into functional solutions, and collaborate with Technology to enhance platform capabilities and effectiveness. This role requires a strong strategic thinker and collaborative leader who can connect the dots across technical, operational, and programmatic teams to drive system adoption and continuous improvement.  

 

In this role, you will: 

 

Platform Implementation & Process Optimization (30%) 

  • Lead discovery sessions with internal stakeholders to identify business, functional, and technical requirements for learning initiatives delivered through LearnUpon. 

  • Analyze and document current-state workflows, identifying opportunities to streamline manual processes and drive operational efficiency through platform capabilities. 

  • Translate requirements into clear user stories, process maps, and solution documentation to support LMS configuration, content launches, and feature enhancements. 

  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts and provide post-implementation support for internal teams launching new training modules. 

  • Partner with internal program Learning & Development teams to ensure learner journeys are cohesive, accessible, and optimized for continuous learning. 

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and maintain LMS reporting dashboards for internal stakeholders  

 

Change Management, Communication & Enablement (40%) 

  • Lead all internal communications related to LearnUpon releases, enhancements, and feature updates; develop clear and engaging release notes and adoption messaging. 

  • Support organizational change management for learning platform-related initiatives by developing communication plans, user guides, and training resources. 

  • Conduct coaching or enablement sessions to build platform fluency and confidence among internal users in individual or group settings 

  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by maintaining a feedback loop between users, learning teams, and developers to inform iterative product improvements. 

 

Governance, Prioritization & Strategic Alignment (30%) 

  • Own and maintain the LearnUpon backlog, managing intake, prioritization, and sprint planning in coordination with internal teams and Technology partners. 

  • Lead cross-functional forums that align stakeholders on learning platform needs, enhancements, and implementation timelines. 

  • Serve as a key interface between business users and technology teams to proactively resolve risks, blockers, and issues related to LMS functionality or adoption. 

  • Build and steward internal user communities or forums to share best practices and drive collaborative problem-solving. 

  • Align LMS governance practices with overall Learning strategies and Knowledge Management System practices. 

 

 

What you bring: 

  • 7+ years' experience in related field with demonstrated direct experience with technical product enablement, documenting business processes, and driving business transformation efforts 

  • 5+ years of Learning Management System experience documenting/refining business requirements, workflow and process management 

  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, i.e. data analysis, business process modeling, use case modeling, prototyping/wireframing, cost/benefit analysis, storyboarding, prioritization, decision trees, business rules, root cause analysis. 

  • Experience using collaboration and planning tools such as Jira, ProductBoard, or Confluence 

  • Influencing skills to create a culture of change, excellence and innovation while constructively challenging the status quo 

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, able to connect learning technology to organizational goals. 

  • Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and accountable for delivering high-quality results. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication  

  • Experience of working in an agile environment (both strategic agility and agile product delivery methods) 

  • Highly adept to change and building systems to consolidate and systematize workflow across enterprise

About Our Process

  • The hiring range for this role is $80,000 to $135,000.
