The Dominick is a luxury, Five Diamond, Four Star hotel in the Soho neighborhood of New York City.

The Director of Operations is a key member of the Executive Committee and plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence across the hotel. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this leader oversees day-to-day operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other operational departments to ensure a seamless, high-touch luxury guest experience.

The Director of Operations partners closely with department heads to align operational strategy with the hotel’s financial, service, and brand objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire teams, optimize operational performance, and consistently deliver elevated service standards that reinforce guest loyalty and brand reputation.

Job Description

What you'll do...

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all hotel operations including Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, and guest-facing departments.
  • Lead and mentor department heads to ensure consistent execution of luxury service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure a consistently exceptional luxury guest experience across all touchpoints.
  • Anticipate and coordinate special guest needs, preferences, and VIP experiences in collaboration with operational leaders.
  • Actively engage with guests to build relationships, resolve issues proactively, and cultivate repeat business and brand loyalty.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics, forecasting, labor productivity, and operational expenses.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies while maintaining elevated service standards.
  • Ensure alignment between Rooms and Food & Beverage operations to deliver a seamless guest journey throughout the property.
  • Foster an engaged, high-performing leadership team through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and hospitality best practices

Qualifications

What we are looking for...

  • Proven leadership experience in luxury or lifestyle hospitality operations, Four Star/Five Diamond property.
  • Minimum 1-year experience as a Hotel Manager.
  • Strong background in both Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and manage multiple operational departments.
  • Exceptional guest service mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen and operational problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible with the ability to sustain a high level of productivity and efficiency at all times.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
