Overview
The North America (NAM) Consumer Credit team is responsible for growing Mastercard's Consumer Credit business by delivering differentiated credit products and value propositions for issuers and cardholders. Our vision is to create innovative, scalable solutions that deepen engagement, drive spend, and strengthen Mastercard's leadership in the credit ecosystem. This role will play a critical leadership position in shaping how Custom Benefits are designed, delivered, and scaled across key issuer relationships.
The Role
Join a fast-paced, high-impact product team responsible for shaping and advancing the multi-year strategy for Mastercard's Custom Benefits within the credit product line. This high-visibility, customer-facing role sits at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution, partnering closely with issuers, co-brand partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver differentiated value. This role requires a strategic thinker and operator who can translate customer needs and market insights into scalable benefit solutions that drive growth, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities• Own and shape the multi-year Custom Benefits strategy and long-term vision, balancing customer-specific innovation with standardized, scalable offerings that simplify delivery and unlock new revenue streams.• Lead the definition and scaling of differentiated embedded and custom benefit offerings, including value propositions, pricing frameworks, and go-to-market approaches.• Act as the strategic integrator across benefit partners, product, analytics, sales, and regional teams to ensure cohesive execution and measurable business outcomes.• Lead end-to-end execution and governance of Custom Benefit initiatives, partnering with benefit SMEs to drive delivery, oversee planning and business reviews, manage financial forecasting, and ensure clear performance reporting and stakeholder alignment. • Identify, structure, and evolve strategic benefit partnerships that enhance issuer value, strengthen competitive differentiation, and support portfolio growth.• Leverage market research, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to inform product enhancements, prioritization, and future roadmap decisions.
About You• Proven product, strategy, or consulting leader with experience in payments, financial services, or a related industry.• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to move seamlessly from vision and concept to execution and results.• Trusted collaborator and influencer, comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives and engaging senior stakeholders and customers.• Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas and data into clear, compelling narratives.• Highly organized and effective at managing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.• Analytical and data-driven, with strong problem-solving skills and sound business judgment.• High-energy, curious, and growth-oriented leader with a strong interest in evolving credit, payments, and consumer value propositions.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.

Purchase, New York: $179,000 - $305,000 USD
