Dropbox is a leading global collaboration platform transforming how people work together. With over 700 million users, Dropbox is on a mission to unleash the world's creative energy by designing a more enlightened way of working.
We are seeking an experienced Product Leader to run the development of new product initiatives at Dropbox. This individual will join the OCEO (Office of the CEO) team and be responsible for the company's product incubator that explores new bets and creates new products to help customers be more productive at work.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience creating and launching products from scratch (bonus points if ex-founder!), a solid product vision and execution track record, and an obsession with customers and ownership while thriving in zero-to-one environments with high ambiguity and autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for new product initiatives, ensuring alignment with Dropbox's overall business objectives.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing cross-functional team, including engineering, product, and design professionals, that embodies Dropbox's values, enjoys working together, and takes pride in building outstanding products.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the company, including executive leadership, to ensure successful deployment and adoption of those products.
- Lead the discovery, definition, and prioritization of product requirements, working closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points.
- Establish and track success metrics and key performance indicators to measure the impact and effectiveness of those new products.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging technologies in the productivity space.
- Launch new products externally to customers after successfully testing the product and finding product-market-fit, and iterate on the product to increase its effectiveness and expand its value proposition.
Requirements
- 10+ years of product experience in a medium/larger software company and/or early-stage startup experience
- Prior experience working on 0 → 1 products from ideation to PMF to eventual scale in an innovative and fast-paced environment, ideally as a founder.
- Strong product sense and experience in turning ambiguous problems and big ideas into a product strategy and executing it flawlessly with the right balance of speed and quality.
- Technical proficiency and effectiveness in working closely with engineers; familiarity with ML/AI technologies is a plus.
- Empathy for customers and passion for building products that evoke joy, delight, and trust with a deep commitment to product craft and practice.
- Strong communicator with the ability to convey clarity, salience, and urgency to teams, partners, and executives. Skilled at building consensus, listening well, and driving hard decisions. Adept at maintaining a fast pace, taking responsibility for setbacks, and sharing praise with the team.
- Experience working on SaaS products that have a self-serve and enterprise sales strategy is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent at communication; capable of rallying a team around the same cause and act as an evangelist for the product
