Mastercard Services delivers cutting-edge solutions across Business & Market Intelligence, Customer Acquisition & Engagement, Security Solutions, and Open Banking. Our team thinks big, moves fast, and partners with some of the world's most innovative companies - including large tech platforms, ecommerce leaders, media companies, fintechs, ERPs, processors, and program managers.
The Director, Services Business Development - U.S. Financial Institutions (USFI) plays a critical leadership role in accelerating Services growth across the segment. This leader partners closely with Sales and cross functional stakeholders to expand existing relationships, develop new opportunities, and advance Mastercard's Services strategy with U.S. financial institutions.
Role & Responsibilities
The Director will both lead and actively contribute, serving as a hands on commercial leader who sets direction while driving results. Key responsibilities include:
Business Development & Growth
o Identify, pursue, and close new Services opportunities with existing clients and prospects.
o Lead complex, consultative sales cycles, including opportunity shaping, value articulation, deal structuring, and negotiation.
o Maintain strong customer satisfaction by ensuring solutions deliver tangible, measurable impact.
Client Engagement & Advisory
o Engage senior client stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, pain points, and growth objectives.
o Position Mastercard Services as a trusted partner by clearly demonstrating how our capabilities solve client challenges and unlock new value.
o Build long term, executive level relationships across financial institutions.
Strategy & Execution
o Contribute to and execute the USFI Services sales strategy and priorities, in alignment with broader Mastercard Services objectives.
o Partner closely with Sales, Product, Analytics, and Delivery teams to ensure seamless execution from sale through value realization.
o Support the growth agenda of the USFI segment, reporting into senior USFI Services leadership.
Leadership & Impact
o Lead by example, fostering a high performance, collaborative, and client centric culture.
o Drive accountability and rigor in pipeline management, forecasting, and execution.
o Ultimately help the organization meet and exceed Services revenue and growth expectations.
National Salary Band (Regardless of Location): $174,000-$274,000
