Purpose
Deliver exceptional sales and business performance by acquiring, developing and maintaining highly proactive, long term client relationships. Protect Barclays reputation through sound risk decisions by managing client group within their risk profile and appropriate regulatory framework.
Accountabilities
Manage and grow client relationships and acquire new clients - identifying and managing solutions to meet a wide range of client needs
Establish a sound understanding of the strategy of the clients in their portfolio through regular proactive contact, responding to client / prospect queries and requests and identifying opportunities that will deliver long term commercial reward
Manage operational, reputational, financial crime and credit risk for the portfolio to avoid exposing Barclays to undue risk
Ensure all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Service/group relationships - referrals to group colleagues

Or for an individual contributor, they lead organisation wide projects and act as deep technical expert and thought leader, identifying new ways of working and collaborating cross functionally. They will train, guide and coach less experienced specialists and provide information affecting long term profits, organisational risks and strategic decisions..
Provide expert advice to senior functional management and committees to influence decisions made outside of own function, offering significant input to function wide strategic initiatives.
Manage, coordinate and enable resourcing, budgeting and policy creation for a significant sub-function.
Escalates breaches of policies / procedure appropriately.
Foster and guide compliance, ensure regulations are observed that relevant processes in place to facilitate adherence.
Focus on the external environment, regulators, or advocacy groups to both monitor and influence on behalf of Barclays, when appropriate.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of how the function integrates with the business division / Group to achieve the overall business objectives.
Maintain broad and comprehensive knowledge of industry theories and practices within own discipline alongside up-to-date relevant sector / functional knowledge, and insight into external market developments / initiatives.
Use interpretative thinking and advanced analytical skills to solve problems and design solutions in often complex/ sensitive situations.
Exercise management authority to make significant decisions and certain strategic decisions or recommendations within own area.
Negotiate with and influence stakeholders at a senior level both internally and externally.
Act as principal contact point for key clients and counterparts in other functions/ businesses divisions.
Mandated as a spokesperson for the function and business division.

What will you be doing?
Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Director, Senior Relationship Management in New York, New York (multiple positions available):
Lead, co-ordinate and monetize the coverage of Barclays’ largest and most complex Clients across Hedge Funds, large Asset Managers, and Insurers.
Build and maintain independent client relationships with the largest clients of the firm, acting as an established and trusted advisor to these clients.
Manage internal stakeholders across Banking, Sales, Trading, and Operations to deliver the “Power of One Barclays” to clients.
Drive and contribute to achieving Barclays firmwide strategic priorities including growing our liquid financing balances and structured financing book.
Perform in depth client revenue and returns analyses for the entire Investment Bank relationship using Barclays’ enterprise client data platform.
Perform in depth client revenue and returns analyses for the Markets-level relationship using Barclays Markets sales credit platform.
Manage Barclays Markets relationship lending process for the Markets Lending Committee (MCCC) for all clients within the coverage portfolio globally, including the creation of a business case, engagement with the client, and project management.
Create and present client addressable wallet analyses using Coalition, feedback from Product Sales Coverage, and own knowledge to support Barclays Markets Top 100 strategy.
Solve issues for clients by partnering directly with internal departments, including across KYC, Onboarding, and Sales.
Provide briefing materials for senior management meetings including for the Barclays CEO, Global Head of Markets, and Head of Investment Bank Management.
Produce and own Barclays Power of One client gameplans (client strategies) on an annual basis.
Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $239,000 per year
Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $300,000 per year
The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
