Job Title: Director, Supply Chain Strategy

Primary Purpose: The Director, Supply Chain Strategy works in close partnership with the SVP of Supply Chain Strategy, Chief Supply Chain Officer, the Supply Chain Leadership Team, as well as critical cross-functional stakeholders to develop and support the execution of multi-year strategies for the Tapestry Supply Chain organization. The role drives annual budgeting and long-range planning processes from a strategic perspective and partners closely with Brand Leadership and Tapestry Leadership and strategy teams to ensure alignment.  This position plays a fundamental role in shaping and implementing Tapestry’s Supply Chain strategy by building long range plans, shaping strategic initiatives, and driving operational excellence projects throughout the organization.

This role will leverage lean principles, advanced analytics, and digital workflow tools to identify waste, streamline decision rights, and embed a culture of continuous improvement, resulting in sustainable efficiencies and enterprise-wide value creation

 As a core team member of the Supply Chain Strategy team, the Director, Strategy stays on top of market trends, competitive intelligence, and consumer research, and will support cross-brand and Tapestry initiatives as required. The role reports to the SVP of SC Strategy and is based in New York City.

 

Core Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy Development

·         Leading the creation, formalization, and socialization of the Supply Chain Strategy Office Operating Model, defining functional accountabilities, governance structure, and strategic focus areas across E2E Supply Chain.

·         Understand the competitive landscape and stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, regulatory changes, and best practices in Supply Chain management.

·         Leading the Supply Chain Strategy function to drive long-range planning, operating model design, and enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across Tapestry’s multi-brand portfolio.

o   Lead the enterprise supply chain strategic planning process, including development of the 3 year long-range plan, prioritization of initiatives, and coordination across functional leaders, brand teams, and executive leadership.

o   Driving strategic prioritization and investment planning across supply chain initiatives, enabling a shift from reactive execution to proactive enterprise value creation.

·         Develop strategies using deep analytics skills which optimize across consumer trends and insights, competition and geographies; and translate these strategies and insights into actionable deliverables for Supply Chain

o   Serving as a key thought partner to CSCO and the VP+ leadership team, aligning supply chain capabilities with commercial priorities, growth plans, and cost optimization imperatives.

·         Identify and incubate high-impact initiatives that generate measurable value—through productivity gains, operating cost reductions, and working capital efficiency—while ensuring alignment to broader enterprise goals.

·         Embedding a culture of strategic clarity and performance accountability by introducing cross-functional decision-making frameworks, KPI alignment, and communication rhythms.

·         Partnering with Finance, IT, Legal, and Brand teams to elevate end-to-end visibility, digital capabilities, and cross-brand synergies in the global supply chain.

·         Leading strategic storytelling for executive forums, including Board of Directors, leadership offsites, Townhalls, and Supplier Summits to articulate progress, risk, and long-term value creation.

·         Support key leadership meetings and workshops for the brand leadership team

 

Supply Chain Strategy Execution

·         Oversee status reporting for a portfolio of initiatives, providing visibility into the progress of milestones and overall performance.

·         Own or support the implementation and execution of key strategic initiatives

·         Actively ensure key consumer trends are appropriately addressed in strategic initiatives and focus areas

·         Track progress of strategic initiatives underpinning the LRP, ensuring we deliver both the Supply Chain strategy and financial commitments / annual targets

 

Organization and Talent Development

·         Mentor and influence across levels to build internal capability, foster a culture of process ownership, and ensure adoption at scale change.

·         Coach, mentor and develop junior SC Strategy team members
