Secure Every Identity, from AI to Human
Identity is the key to unlocking the potential of AI. Okta secures AI by building the trusted, neutral infrastructure that enables organizations to safely embrace this new era. This work requires a relentless drive to solve complex challenges with real-world stakes. We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
This is an opportunity to do career-defining work. We're all in on this mission. If you are too, let's talk.

The Opportunity

The "Agentic World" isn't just coming; it’s here. As AI agents begin to move from simple chatbots to autonomous entities that take actions on our behalf, the concept of "Identity" is undergoing its biggest transformation in decades.

At Okta and Auth0, we aren’t just watching this happen—we’re leading it. This is a rare "Day 1" opportunity to join the world’s identity leader at the exact moment we redefine how humans and intelligent agents coexist securely. If you want to be at the epicenter of AI, security, and ecosystem building, there is no better place to be.

The Role

In this Individual Contributor (IC) role, you will define how partnerships can accelerate our platform’s reach. You won't just be drafting plans—you’ll be working closely with internal teams and external partners to turn those plans into reality.

You’ll stay ahead of the curve by identifying emerging architectural patterns and customer needs. From influencing our product roadmap to representing Okta in conversations about Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A) architectures, you will be a key technical leader helping us turn cutting-edge innovation into practical, real-world solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spot the Next Big Thing: Identify and prioritize partnership opportunities that bring long-term value to Okta’s identity and AI strategy.
  • Lead the Way: Drive partnerships from start to finish—taking them from initial discovery and technical design all the way to a successful launch.
  • Be a Technical Guide: Act as a trusted advisor for our partners, ensuring integrations are secure, scalable, and meet enterprise standards.
  • Get Creative: Use your technical skills to build demos, labs, and documentation that showcase the power of our partnerships to the world.
  • Collaborate Internally: Partner with Product and Engineering to ensure our roadmap reflects the needs of the evolving ecosystem.
  • Represent the Brand: Speak with authority and credibility at industry events and in front of customers, helping shape the future of identity standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in technical roles (Identity, Security, Cloud, or AI) with a track record of balancing strategy with getting things done.
  • Proven success in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Developer Relations, or a similar partner-facing technical role.
  • Deep technical knowledge of IAM, security architectures, and APIs. If you’re familiar with agentic AI architectures, that’s a huge plus.
  • You enjoy creating hands-on assets like reference architectures, integrations, and technical blogs.
  • You can translate complex technical concepts into a story that resonates with everyone, from engineers to executives.
  • Proven strength in negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management across partners, customers, and internal teams.
  • You’re self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable taking the lead in fast-moving, high-growth environments.
