E-commerce DTC | Head of Marketing & Creative Growth | Uncapped Pay Growth
Location: Midwood, Brooklyn, NY (on-site)
Hours: 45-50 per week. 5 days a week in office then 1 WFH day after.
Schedule: 9 AM to 6 PM EST. Role is measured by outcomes, not the clock, flexible yet hours can extend when a launch or deadline calls for it.
Compensation: Total $80K to $110K+ to start, and it is not capped. For a top performer, this role is built to grow past $200K through profit based bonuses and equity.
Structure: $80K to $90K salary base plus a $10K to $20K performance bonus, with an equity opportunity for high impact candidates. Your pay starts here and climbs with the profit and results you create.
This is an entrepreneurial role for someone who wants to build something great alongside the founder and be paid for the results and profit they drive. Both a high salary and equity are on the table once you prove your results. We are a small business, so you will wear many hats, and some days you will wear all of them.

TopFoxx is a fast-growing, women-owned eyewear brand reinventing the sunglasses industry with solution-oriented designs and bold branding. Since 2016, we've grown from a bootstrapped startup into a global business serving hundreds of thousands of customers through Shopify, TikTok Shop, Amazon, wholesale, affiliates, and influencers. Our slogan is "sunglasses with a solution": luxury designs with real functionality, like sunglasses that float, tangle free aviators, foldable pocket size sunnies, and mood boosting lenses.

The Role
We're looking for a Head of Marketing & Creative who can combine strategic marketing, creative direction, analytics, and team leadership into one high-performing role.
You will oversee every major marketing function at TopFoxx, including creative, paid media strategy, organic social media, email and SMS marketing, website optimization, influencer and affiliate marketing, product launches, branding, and marketing analytics.
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to develop high-level marketing strategies while also rolling up your sleeves to execute & produce creative, marketing campaigns/direction, analyze performance to improve, solve problems, and help the team execute at a high level.
You will work directly with the Founder to shape growth strategy, lead the marketing team, and ensure every campaign contributes to measurable revenue and brand growth. Because of the pace and responsibility of this role, work is structured around outcomes rather than strict task timing.This is not a 9-5 execution-only role; it requires ownership, accountability, and the ability to see projects through to completion.
Occasional Saturdays may be required (typically around once per month or every other month, depending on launches or business needs). These are generally half work day.

You'll know you're succeeding when profit & revenue continues to grow, marketing KPIs consistently improve, creative quality continues to raise the standard, campaigns launch on time, the team becomes stronger through your leadership, and every marketing decision is backed by data rather than assumptions. Most importantly, you'll build a marketing organization that is proactive, accountable, creative, and obsessed with continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
a) Marketing Strategy & Business Growth
- Own and execute TopFoxx's overall marketing strategy across every revenue-generating channel.
- Develop quarterly, monthly, and campaign-specific marketing plans aligned with company goals.
- Build and maintain the company marketing calendar, ensuring every launch, promotion, seasonal campaign, and initiative is strategically planned and executed.
- Continuously identify new growth opportunities through customer insights, market research, competitor analysis, and emerging industry trends.
- Own the end-to-end customer journey, continuously optimizing every stage of the marketing funnel to improve acquisition, conversion, retention, and lifetime value.
- Prioritize initiatives based on business impact, ROI, and long-term growth opportunities.
b) Creative Leadership & Brand Direction
- Lead the overall creative vision and maintain a consistent, premium brand identity across every customer touchpoint.
- Review, approve, and provide feedback on all creative assets before publication.
- Direct and mentor graphic designers, video editors, photographers, content creators, and other creative contributors.
- Ensure every campaign aligns with TopFoxx's brand positioning while driving measurable business results.
- Contribute ideas for product launches, packaging, website design, campaigns, merchandising, and overall brand storytelling.
- Continuously raise the quality and effectiveness of all creative output.
c) Paid Media Strategy & Performance Marketing
- Own the strategic direction of paid media while collaborating with internal teams and external advertising agencies.
- Develop high-converting creative strategies for Meta, TikTok, Google, and emerging advertising platforms.
- Analyze marketing performance using KPIs including ROAS, CAC, CTR, CPC, CPM, CPA, conversion rates, and customer acquisition efficiency.
- Build structured creative testing frameworks and A/B testing strategies to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Optimize marketing investments based on data, profitability, and long-term growth objectives.
d) Organic Social Media & Content Growth
- Develop and execute organic growth strategies across TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and future platforms.
- Lead founder-led content strategy and oversee content planning, scripting, filming, editing, publishing, and optimization.
- Identify trends, viral opportunities, and creative concepts that align with TopFoxx.
- Monitor engagement, reach, retention, community growth, and social performance metrics to continuously improve content strategy.
e) Website, E-Commerce & Conversion Optimization
- Improve website conversion rates through UX improvements, merchandising, landing pages, navigation, and customer experience optimization.
- Collaborate on homepage updates, product pages, collections, promotional campaigns, and conversion-focused website improvements.
- Identify customer journey bottlenecks and implement testing strategies to improve AOV, conversion rates, and overall shopping experience.
- Research and implement new Shopify apps, tools, and technologies that improve website performance and operational efficiency.
f) Email, SMS & Customer Retention
- Oversee lifecycle marketing strategies across email and SMS.
- Review campaigns, automations, customer segmentation, promotional calendars, and retention initiatives.
- Improve key performance metrics including open rates, click-through rates, revenue per recipient, repeat purchase rate, and customer lifetime value.
- Ensure messaging remains consistent with the TopFoxx brand across every customer communication.
g) Influencer, Affiliate & Community Growth
- Develop strategies to expand influencer partnerships, affiliate programs, and creator collaborations.
- Increase high-quality user-generated content, affiliate activation, and brand awareness.
- Build scalable gifting and partnership initiatives that generate measurable business results.
- Analyze ROI and continuously optimize influencer and affiliate performance.
h) Product Launches & Cross-Functional Marketing
- Lead the marketing strategy and execution for every product launch from planning through post-launch analysis.
- Coordinate launch timelines across Creative, Operations, Customer Service, Inventory, and Leadership.
- Ensure all marketing assets, campaigns, and promotional materials are completed on time.
- Evaluate launch performance and identify improvements for future campaigns.
- Maintain strong communication across departments to ensure marketing priorities remain aligned with business objectives.
i) Marketing Analytics, KPIs & Financial Performance
- Build and maintain KPI dashboards across every marketing channel.
- Analyze weekly and monthly performance reports, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Monitor revenue, profitability, marketing spend, customer acquisition costs, and return on investment across all channels.
- Develop financial forecasts, resource allocation recommendations, and marketing budget strategies.
- Present actionable recommendations supported by accurate performance data.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, brand marketing, growth marketing, or marketing leadership, preferably within DTC e-commerce or startup environments.
- Proven experience leading multi-channel marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth.
- Strong understanding of paid media, organic social media, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, SMS, website optimization, and customer acquisition.
- 3+ years leading creative or marketing teams.
- Strong understanding of paid media strategy (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads).
- Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and marketing analytics.
- Strong creative judgment across video, design, branding, and copywriting.
- Experience managing product launches and integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- AI proficiency to improve productivity and marketing execution.
