eDiscovery Operations Specialist
Position Summary
The eDiscovery Operations Specialist is a billable professional staff role responsible for supporting operational and technical workflows within the firm’s eDiscovery and data teams. This position performs hands-on support relating to Relativity administration, data management, workflow execution, collections coordination, and operational data support activities.
The role requires experience with Relativity backend administration and operational eDiscovery workflows across the EDRM lifecycle. The position works collaboratively with attorneys, vendors, analysts, and internal data teams to support efficient execution of eDiscovery and operational data services.
Key Responsibilities
eDiscovery Operations and Technical Support
Support operational workflows relating to preservation, collection, processing, review, production, and data management activities.
Coordinate data staging, transfers, and workflow execution within Relativity and related platforms.
Perform backend Relativity administration and operational platform support activities.
Coordinate collection logistics, hosted data workflows, and operational support with vendors and internal teams.
Support eDiscovery-specific workflows, including file conversion and PST-to-PDF processing activities.
Perform workflow tracking, quality control, troubleshooting, and operational reporting activities.
Data Team Operational Support
Support operational data workflows for internal data teams and related business functions.
Assist with uploading, organizing, transferring, and maintaining structured and unstructured data.
Perform low-complexity data cleanup and operational support activities for analysts and statisticians.
Coordinate operational workflows and communications across multiple projects, vendors, and internal teams.
Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across the department.
Qualifications and Skills
Prior experience in eDiscovery operations, legal technology, or data operations environments required.
Experience with Relativity backend administration required.
Working knowledge of the EDRM lifecycle and operational eDiscovery workflows required.
Experience supporting data transfers, collections coordination, hosted data environments, or operational workflow management preferred.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills.
The expected salary range for this position varies by location. For New York City Metro area and Los Angeles, the expected hourly salary range for this position is between $61.10 - $69.80. For Denver and Philadelphia, the expected hourly salary range for this position is between $57.70 - $65.90. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
