Job Summary:

Join our team in New York City as we create electrical designs for our diverse client portfolio. You will lead a team of electrical engineers through project management and design efforts. 

As a team member, you will be part of creating designs for schools and universities, healthcare and institutional clients-working in a dynamic, fast paced setting.   

The Electrical Engineer will design electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as K-12 and higher education, healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems including lighting, power, and life safety for existing facility renovations, new facilities and facility modernization projects.
  • Conduct load sizing and service requirements for beneficial electrification projects.
  • Lead electrical projects and perform QA/QC of design work.
  • Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ design experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • New York State Licensed Professional Engineer, preferred 
  • Experience with K-12, high education, healthcare, and commercial markets in New York market.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines, including proficiency with the National Electrical Code.
  • Excellent work ethic and attitude.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to provide technical mentorship to engineers with less experience.
  • Ability to solve problems in an effective and timely manner.

Location: New York City

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $170,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, project experience and qualifications.
