Our Core Values
We give a shit. We care deeply about all we do. We take pride in our work and are addicted to collecting “Wows” from customers. We sweat the details, see around corners, and are thoughtful in our approach. Excellence isn’t optional—it’s who we are.
We take out the trash. No task is beneath us, and no ego is above the work. If something needs doing, we do it—whether or not anyone notices. We do the work to help the team, not to collect personal recognition.
We never beat around the bush. Clear communication is kindness. We’re straightforward, open, and timely with our teammates—always direct, always respectful. Nobody should ever have to guess how we feel.
We go down the rabbit hole. Then keep going. We constantly seek growth by any means necessary. Curiosity drives us to explore diverse ideas, perspectives, and cultures. "Because we’ve always done it that way" is never an acceptable answer. We actively challenge ourselves and each other to stay inspired, stay curious, and evolve our thinking.
We do the right thing. Trust is our most valuable asset—earned slowly, lost instantly. Doing what’s right isn’t negotiable, even when it’s inconvenient, unpopular, or costly. Integrity guides every decision we make, without exception.
We operate like Navy SEALs. Greatness doesn’t happen between 9 and 5. We willingly invest nights and weekends—not for optics or politics, but because genuine impact demands commitment. We work hard because our mission deserves nothing less.
We share feedback. We listen to feedback. Feedback is our fastest path to excellence. We invite candid critique, meet it with curiosity—not ego—and act on it immediately. Every critique is a chance to level up ourselves and our teammates, so we default to collaboration, assume positive intent, and treat every interaction as a two‑way learning opportunity.
Run a full Tenex pod like a high-output operator: activate high-level vision into tactical plans for AI Strategists, own the client relationship, and ship work that expands accounts and earns “Wow.”
What you’ll doActivate the Vision: Translate high-level guidance into tactical plans that your AI Strategists can understand and execute. Operate independently if leadership gets swamped; you have built enough trust that they can rely on you to keep the mission moving.
Lead the AI Strategists: Own the output and quality of your pod. Coach people up through direct feedback and clear expectations, or escalate a performance issue if it puts the project or the "Wow" at risk.
Master the Capacity Map: Manage your time and capacity to keep all the plates spinning and know which plates are made of rubber vs glass—the former can bounce, the latter will break.
Take the Pen: Your delegation skills are strong enough to not get bogged down in analysis, yet you know exactly when to roll up your sleeves or take the pen to protect the Tenex standard.
Run the Client Map: Identify and manage all key stakeholders (buyers, champions, users, blockers). Establish clear communication rhythms: proactive weekly updates, tight execution loops, and QBRs with senior leaders.
Field the Questions: Present eloquently and field all sorts of questions from stakeholders with a poker face, even under pressure or during unpredictable shifts.
Own Client Outcomes: Set clear quarterly goals for every account: what ships, why it matters, and how success is measured. Prioritize work based on ROI and real business impact.
Turn Ambiguity into a Plan: Run discovery when needed (audits, interviews, workflow and data mapping) to convert fuzzy problems into clear requirements, sequencing, and acceptance criteria.
Drive Execution: Partner closely with the Tech Lead to translate goals into a shippable plan, maintain momentum, and surface risks early. Keep the pod focused on the highest-leverage work.
Drive Adoption, Not Just Demos: Design rollout and enablement plans (training, champions, comms). Measure adoption and iterate until solutions actually stick.
Support Sales & Expansion: Join late-stage sales when needed to shape scope and success metrics. Ensure clean post-sale handoffs and compound relationships through results.
In your first 30–90 days: You own your accounts with clear goals, client maps, and operating cadence. Surprises and firefighting decrease because expectations are explicit. Pod throughput increases without quality slipping.
Over time, you’re measured on:
Managed Revenue and account sales expansion (client retention is table stakes).
Client referenceability and “Wow” moments.
Pod delivery quality, speed, and predictability.
Internal standards and playbooks that outlast you.
Consultative Communication: Skills of a top strategic seller (without the fluff): confident orator, active listener, clear writer.
Product Instincts + Operating Discipline: You can scope, sequence, and ship. You turn ambiguity into outcomes and build repeatable systems.
Comfort with Healthy Confrontation: You don’t beat around the bush; you handle hard conversations directly and respectfully.
High Organization / High Agency: You run multiple moving pieces without dropping the ball.
Executive Translator: You bridge business outcomes and technical execution, staying fluent with both executives and engineers.
Client-Facing Seniority: 5–8 years of experience in client-facing consulting (tech transformation, product strategy, or similar) where you were the primary person accountable for the engagement.
Product Delivery: Direct experience in the product lifecycle: shipping software, scoping, defining requirements, and managing rollouts.
Execution Ownership: A proven track record of owning delivery across cross-functional teams (strategy, design, and technical builds).
Operational Grit: Strong judgment under pressure, a "poker face" with stakeholders, and a relentless bias toward action.
Presence: NYC-based and willing to be in-office.
Pedigree: Experience specifically within top-tier management consulting (MBB/Big 4) or at a high-growth startup.
Enterprise Navigation: A track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise accounts and commanding high-stakes QBRs at the C-suite level.
AI Specialization: Practical familiarity with AI/automation delivery, including LLMs, data constraints, and the nuances of user adoption for new tech.
Engineering Leadership: Experience directly or indirectly managing engineers or technical squads to hit delivery milestones.
Compensation: Earn $225,000 – $350,000+ annually, with opportunities for further upside tied directly to your output (account outcomes, expansion, and pod performance).
Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision provided
Vacation: Take what you need vacation policy
In-Office, NYC-based: Work from our beautiful office in the heart of New York City
World-class team: Join engineers, designers, and operators driven to do their life’s most important work
